Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Cocktail attire is suggested. For gentlemen, this typically means a suit and tie or sports coat and dress shirt, while ladies can opt for a cocktail dresses or sets. The ceremony and reception will be on grass, so be sure to take that into consideration with your shoe choice. In the mountains, it does cool down quickly when the sun sets so we recommend bringing layers.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your kids, our ceremony and reception will be adults only.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There is no parking at the ceremony or reception. The only way to get there is by the shuttles provided at the Fairmont.

Question

What is the weather typically like in Whistler in July?

Answer

The weather can vary during this time. The average temperature during the day is around 75 degrees F or 24 degrees C. At night, it can drop to 50 degrees F or 10 degrees C. The mountains tend to cool off very quickly when the sun goes down but it's pleasant during the day. Be sure to check the weather in the days leading up to the event to know what to pack.

Question

What events are outside?

Answer

As long as we have good weather, all events including welcome drinks, ceremony and reception will be outside. In case of inclement weather, events will be moved to a tent. Please be sure to check the weather closer to the event.

Answer

On our wedding weekend, we are expecting the sun to set around 9:15 pm. As we mentioned, it will get chilly when the sunsets so we recommend bringing layers for evening events.
