Absolutely! We've made arrangements for children, so feel free to bring them along. Please let us know if you plan to bring them so we can accommodate them properly.
For our wedding, we kindly ask guests to follow a semi-formal dress code, with a mountain western vibe. We would love to see some cool western fits (think cowboy boots, cute hats, turquoise, etc)! If you're not sure what this means, please reach out to us. Ladies Opt for a floor-length or tea-length dress. Steamboat’s afternoon temperatures in early August are typically around 80°F, but it can get a bit chilly in the mountains as the evening sets in. Our ceremony will likely be in direct sunlight, so be prepared for some warmth during the day. Since the grass will be soft, we recommend choosing comfortable shoes for walking. And of course, please avoid wearing white! 😉 Gentlemen A dress shirt with slacks or a suit and tie will be perfect. Feel free to add your personal touch while keeping things classy.
Don’t worry about the gondola! We’ll be taking them up to the top of the mountain for the ceremony, and they’re very accessible for everyone. A gondola operator will be on hand to assist all our guests. The gondolas move slowly and can even be stopped to ensure a safe and comfortable boarding experience. Each gondola comfortably fits about six people.
The ceremony location is a 10-minute drive from our reception venue. After we offload from the gondolas, guests will head straight to the reception site for a cocktail hour while the wedding party takes photos. Please plan to carpool or drive to the ceremony and reception. All parking will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please note that parking outside the reception venue is street parking only, so it may be limited. We recommend arriving early to secure a spot.
