Megan Reedy

Maid of Honor

Lindsey is more than a best friend to me, she is family. Family are also the people we choose for ourselves, and when we met 16 years ago at Howard Bishop Middle School, she became my sister. While friends tend to come and go, the real ones are always there for you through the worst and hardest times in life, no matter what. Even if I was the cause of my own problems, Lindsey was not only there for me, but would call me out on my B.S. because that's what a true friend does - she tells it like it is. We have been together through broken hearts, making mistakes, and growing older, and I can say with certainty that we always will be. I'm so happy she met Brandon - someone who is able to go toe-to-toe with her banter! Luke and I love you both and the family we've created!

Taylor Fouts

Best Man

I am Brandon's older brother by only two years. There was never a time that Brandon wasn't present in my life. We grew up side-by-side, living door-to-door for almost 30 years. We spent summers in the pool and winters backpacking. Countless late nights were spent watching movies or watching Brandon play endless video games into the early morning. Brandon is deceivingly smart, devilishly handsome, and undoubtedly the funniest person you will ever encounter. If laughter is truly the best medicine, Brandon and Lindsey will surely last a lifetime together.

Bridesmaid

I have known Lindsey for 8 or 9 years now since she started dating Brandon. Before she started dating my brother, I knew of her in high school through the Gainesville volleyball circuit, which is sort of an everyone knows everyone type of deal. I was also in the same class as her younger brother, Ryan. I remember in high school I got to talking to Ryan, not knowing who he was at the time, and he was like "hey I think my older sister Lindsey is dating your brother." Ever since then, Lindsey has always felt like family. She has always been quick to lend an ear and offer a helping hand, and has really been the sister I never had. It's about time we officially welcome her as part of the family. I can't picture my brother marrying anybody else and I wish them both nothing but the best!

Groomsman

As is natural being her younger brother, I’ve known Lindsey since birth. While I’m still not happy about when she forced me to touch the hot hair straightener or slammed me in the face with Grandma’s driver, Lindsey's been the best big sister I could ever ask for. She’s the only sibling I’ve ever known and has constantly provided me with guidance and support. Our relationship has evolved over the years, as I am now too big to be forced into wearing tutu’s or having my fingernails painted (or am I?), but she’s always there for me and I couldn’t be prouder to be there for her and Brandon’s wedding. From early on in their relationship, I could tell that it would be one that would last. I can tell how happy he has made her and am glad she found someone that can match her sarcasm and sass.

I met Lindsey in July of 2013. I had just moved back to Gainesville to teach school and had picked up a second job at Sabore. We quickly realized we had more in common than we first thought. She was a GHS grad, my mom had taught her chemistry, and she had gone to Glen Springs Elementary with one of my little sisters. Add on top of that we are both very sarcastic, quick witted, and don't suffer fools lightly. It wasn't long after I started working with her that I realized I had made a lifelong friend. She has supported me through teaching, law school, passing the bar, and now in my current job. She's one of the few people I can trust in this world and I am so thankful to know not only her, but Brandon as well. I'm so happy to be standing with her as she says "I Do" to Brandon.

Being a typical younger brother I desperately wanted my older brothers to like me, and they repaid that by practicing forms of torture that belong only at GTMO and CIA black sites. My favorite was the burning sensation that I would get in my lower back when they would stick my legs over my head until my knees were touching the ground by my face. It wasn’t all bad though. Many summers were spent eating freeze pops and playing whatever game his then-adolescent mind could contrive. We would play basketball often, and while his jumper was absolute garbage I was always in awe at how creative and shockingly graceful he was as a driver and finisher. He has always been by far and away the funniest person that I have ever met. He honestly doubles as my brother and one of my closest friends as well.

Bridesmaid

I still remember one of the very first times I met Lindsey. We were outside in the backyard of our old house having a bonfire with everyone, when out of nowhere Lindsey comes running up out of the dark straight into Brandon and tackles him out of his chair. I knew from that moment she was a perfect match for him and I couldn't be happier she's becoming my sister-in-law!

Groomsman

I met Brandon one day when I walked out of the house and there was a kid sitting in a lawn chair eating Cheetos on the roof. I came to learn that he was one of my siblings and would routinely appear out of thin air for most of my childhood. He had surf boards and aquariums, stories of fighting trees in the Bahamas, and a sense of humor that made mom cringe. Brandon has always been my crazy uncle brother, it never occurred to me that he would actually become hitched. Him and Lindsey work though, I first saw them together one night playing tetherball in the dark in our backyard. Since then they've bonded collecting strange pets, and have a hysterical yet functioning relationship. Who knew that kid on the roof would come down to be domesticated.

Bridesmaid

Where do I even start...Lindsey and I have a colorful history. We met in high school, but were far from the best of friends. Over the years Lindsey has come to be my very best friend, and now the godmother of my 3 angels. I've shared soooo many moments with Lindsey and Brandon. From Lindsey always joining my baby showers and childrens' birthdays, to Brandon helping babysit and pretending to play video games with my son - we've made some beautiful memories together. I can remember clear as day, cooking pasta in the apartment talking about Brandon when she said "I think he's the one" - the look in her eyes said it all! I love them both dearly and am so eager to see them say "I Do"!

Groomsman

Brandon and I went to high school together, but it wasn't until after graduation that our friendship galvanized. I had an opening in my ragtag group of misfits and Brandon was overqualified. I knew Brandon was someone I could trust with a few things, and about 10% of my secrets. I always thought Brandon would be one of those eternally single uncles that everyone seems to have, until one day somehow Lindsey became interested in him. We immediately hit it off. I felt so remorseful for the journey she was about to embark upon. But in all seriousness, when you hear there's someone for everyone, it gives hope to people like Brandon. He's so lucky to have a partner that is drop dead gorgeous and extremely cunning. I can't wait to see the man that Lindsey will hopefully one day turn him into.

Teagan Mann

Flower Girl

For Lindsey and Brandon, watching Teagan grow up has been nothing short of hilarious. With enough energy to fill a stadium, we can't wait for this little daredevil to strut her stuff down the aisle. She's a karaoke queen and can't wait to meet you on the dance floor!

Aaron Swimmer

Officiant

40 years ago I was a teenager in college and a thousand miles from home. Luckily, I found Steve, who invited me to the Thomas home; in short order I came to consider myself the 4th kid. Over the years I've been included in Thomas weddings, graduations, baptisms, legal issues, funerals, and a few other activities not fit for print. All this experience makes me uniquely qualified (and very happy) to officiate at my Goddaughter Lindsey's wedding, AND advise Brandon on how to fit in to our family.

Lucy

Ring Bearer

Little miss Lucy has been there from day 1. It was just her and her mama in their first apartment when Brandon came along (she's never really accepted losing "her side" of the bed). After what will be 9 long years of chasing ball, hiking trails, and building a house, Lucy is ready to watch her mama and daddy finally make it official!
