We ask that you kindly RSVP by October 1st, 2024, as we need to provide the venue and the catering company with a total guest count in a timely manner. If we do not receive your RSVP by the deadline, we will have to mark you as "not attending."
Yes! We are asking our guests to use this as an excuse to get dressed up with us! Formal wear is requested, black tie optional. Formal wear for gentleman may include a jacket and tie or traditional suit, a tuxedo is not required. For women, floor length or midi length dresses. Please no jeans or sneakers! We also request that guests avoid wearing cream, ivory, or white dresses. Keep in mind, weather permitting, the event is mostly outdoors. If you have any questions regarding attire, feel free to reach out to the bride or the groom.
Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate additional guests due to venue capacity. We can only accommodate those formally invited on your wedding invitation. Your invitation will be addressed as (Your Name) + (Guest) if a plus one has been allocated to you.
We have decided to keep our wedding an adults-only event. We hope you take advantage of this and treat it as a well-deserved date night!
The ceremony will begin at 5:00pm. Miami traffic is very unpredictable, so please allow yourself ample time to drive to the venue or order your ride sharing services. We recommend arriving at 4:30pm. Use that extra time to enjoy a welcome drink, take photos with friends and family before the sun goes down, and get your seats before the ceremony.
Yes! Transportation will be provided for guests in the form of Uber Vouchers, valid for Uber rides within a 5 mile radius of the venue the evening of the wedding. A code will be sent out to guests via text message the day before the wedding. This way, guests won't have to wait on a shuttle, and guests staying in different hotels near the venue can all enjoy complimentary transportation to and from the Curtiss Mansion.
Yes! There is ample parking on site at the Curtiss Mansion. We encourage anyone driving to this event to drink responsibly, as we will be having an open bar. Otherwise, due to the venue's proximity to the Miami Airport, ride-sharing services like Uber and Lift are always in high supply.
After the ceremony, the bridal party and immediate family will be taking photos around the venue. Guests can enjoy cocktail hour with drinks and passed hors d'oeuvres.
Yes! There will be a premium open bar starting during cocktail hour.
The ceremony will be open seating, so sit wherever you please! However, the first 3 rows on each side will be reserved for immediate family and the bridal party. When facing the altar, the bride will be standing on the left and the groom will be standing on the right. If you'd rather see one or the other's facial expressions throughout the ceremony, sitting on the opposite side would make it easier. For the reception, we will be carefully arranging tables so our guests are seated with those they know.
No, we opted against reserving room blocks for guests in one particular hotel. To be transparent, the rates for reserved rooms within the blocks were not significantly more affordable than the typical rates. We also did not want guests to feel pressured into staying at one hotel, when there are so many great options in the area. We understand that many guests have hotel points that can only be redeemed at a particular hotel chain or would prefer to stay in an Airbnb/VRBO with friends and family. We appreciate you for understanding our rationale!
