Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

Since the wedding is being held at the Mövenpick Asara Resort, many of our guests are choosing to stay on-site. If you would like to explore other nearby hotels, there are many wonderful options in the immediate area. Please reach out if you have any questions or need help coordinating your stay.

Question

How do I get from the airport to Hua Hin?

Answer

We have partnered with a professional transportation company to provide private rides from Bangkok (BKK) directly to the resort in Hua Hin. We will coordinate these schedules closer to the date based on your flight info.

Question

What should I do about gifts?

Answer

Your presence is the only gift we require. Traveling across the world to be with us is an enormous gesture, and we do not expect or want anything further.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

The vibe is "Tropical Cocktail" or "Beach Formal." Think breathable fabrics like linen or cotton. For men, a light suit or dress shirt with slacks is perfect (ties are optional!). For women, a midi or maxi dress with wedges or dressy sandals is ideal for the sandy and lawn areas. It's on the beach!

Question

Can I bring a plus-one?

Answer

We’re keeping things open and easy! Everyone gets a plus-one, and truly, anyone who wants to make the trip is welcome to celebrate with us. The beach is big enough for everyone! Just give us a heads-up a few weeks prior so we can get our final counts right for the resort.

Question

Where should I stay if I want to spend a few days in Bangkok?

Answer

While Bangkok is huge, most of our guests find Sukhumvit to be the best home base. It’s the city’s most popular area for a reason: it’s packed with endless dining, world-class shopping (like Terminal 21 and EmQuartier), and incredible rooftop bars. Most importantly, Sukhumvit is centered along the BTS Skytrain line, which is the easiest way to bypass Bangkok's famous traffic. If you stay anywhere between the Asok and Thong Lor stations, you’ll be right in the middle of the action and have a very easy time getting around. Other popular neighborhoods to consider: Siam: Best if your main goal is shopping at the massive malls like Siam Paragon and CentralWorld. It's the central hub where the two main train lines meet. Riverside: Best for a more "vacation" feel. You’ll find stunning luxury hotels along the Chao Phraya River and easy boat access to the Grand Palace and Wat Arun. Silom: A great mix of a busy business district by day and a vibrant food and nightlife scene by night. It’s also home to Lumphini Park, the city's "Central Park." If you're looking for a specific hotel recommendation or want to know if a certain area fits your vibe, just ask me! Since I live in the city, I can tell you exactly what the neighborhood is like.

Question

What do I need to enter Thailand in 2026?

Answer

You will need a passport with at least 6 months of validity remaining. Additionally, as of 2026, Thailand requires a Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) to be completed online before you land. It replaces the old paper forms and generates a QR code for immigration.

Question

What is the time zone change?

Answer

Thailand is roughly 12 to 15 hours ahead of US time zones. Because the adjustment can be intense, we suggest arriving a few days early to get acclimated. If you need advice on the best flight times to minimize jet lag, feel free to reach out to me!
