Please have your RSVP submitted by September 14th at the latest so we can be sure to let our vendors know final food orders and counts! If you are reading this after September 14th and have not RSVP'd, please contact either Thomas or Maia. We will not be adding additional guests past September 21st. If you find that you can no longer attend, please also let us know ASAP!
The Bakken Museum will be open the day of the wedding and ask that guests arrive no earlier than 4pm when the museum closes. That being said, the ceremony will begin at 4:30 so we do ask that everyone has arrived at 4 to ensure we can begin on time!
We would prefer everyone to arrive in semi-formal attire, however we want to make sure everyone is comfortable. Weather in mid- October can be unpredictable and with our ceremony and reception being held outside, bringing an extra layer would be a good idea! There will be an indoor space for people to gather in as well for dancing and speeches, however that space will be open to the garden and rooftop on either side throughout the night!
While we would love to meet your significant others, we have chosen a venue with a small capacity for a reason. We want our wedding to be intimate and shared only with those people close to our hearts. If their name was not written on the invitation you received, they will not be invited to attend.
We have made the decision to keep our big day to adults only.
The Bakken does have a small parking lot, however we would prefer to keep parking to the bride and groom's immediate family members and wedding party to make arrival and departure as easy as possible! The venue is in Minneapolis so street parking is readily available along Bde Maka Ska Parkway, as well as the side streets around the venue. Those who are able to carpool should consider doing so!
