Wedding Party

Meet our family and friends who will be walking down the aisle with us. We created a little funny biography about each of them that include 3 truths and 1 lie. See if you can determine which is the lie!

Laurel Stiles

Bride

Laurel, the self-proclaimed booze-smuggling opera singer and Ben Affleck aficionado, is quite the character. Hailing from Klamath Falls, Oregon, she quickly made her mark when she relocated to Delaware at the tender age of 3. As the oldest sibling with a younger brother, Laurel's mischievous spirit was always on display. Her rendezvous with Thomas in 2020 changed her life forever, but it's not all romance and matrimony for Laurel. Returning from a wild spring break in the Bahamas, she showcased her resourcefulness by stuffing her luggage with bottles of booze, taking advantage of the Bahamian drinking age. Laurel's escapades don't end there. She amazed everyone at Gasparilla in Tampa when she triumphed in a rum-runner chugging competition, winning a whopping $14. As if that wasn't enough, she's also dabbled in the world of opera and murder mysteries, showcasing her diverse talents. But perhaps her most enduring passion lies with Ben Affleck. Since she turned 19, Laurel has been a proud member of the Ben Affleck Fan Club, boasting an impressive collection of all his movies on DVD. Let's just say she's his biggest fan. Laurel's journey has been filled with laughter, adventure, and a dash of Ben Affleck. She's a one-of-a-kind bride who knows how to bring the fun wherever she goes.

Thomas Bain

Groom

Thomas, the youngest of four siblings, hailing from Abington, PA. He quickly realized that his natural good looks were his ticket to success. Even at the tender age of two, he secured second place in a baby contest at Strawbridge and Clothier, proudly gracing stores nationwide. Fast forward to 2020, when destiny struck again. Thomas stumbled upon his soulmate, the enchanting Laurel, on a fateful day in November. Love bloomed, and before long, wedding bells were ringing for the happy couple. In his wild adventures, Thomas found himself in the Bahamas, partying with the Bahamian Rugby Team. They were so captivated by his charm that they footed the bill for an unforgettable night of revelry. Oh, the perks of being Thomas! Not one to shy away from famous encounters, Thomas once found himself at Super Bowl 38, rubbing shoulders with Pharrell Williams. Naturally, he couldn't resist playfully teasing Pharrell about his inferior seat. Selfies were snapped, and memories were made. And wait, brace yourself for the grand finale—Thomas proudly boasts a selfie on his phone with none other than Taylor Swift herself! Though the details of this epic meeting remain a mystery, we can only imagine the hilarity that unfolded. With his wit, charm, and outrageous escapades, Thomas is the groom who knows how to bring laughter and joy to any occasion. Here's to a lifetime of hilarious anecdotes and unforgettable adventures!

Al Stiles

Father of the Bride

Meet Al Stiles, the father of the bride extraordinaire. Born in the heart of Delaware, Al is the third of seven siblings, a position he proudly claims is the perfect blend of responsibility and just enough chaos to keep life interesting. Married and father to the dynamic duo, Laurel and Russell, Al recently added "grandfather" to his impressive resume, proving that he's not just the father of the bride but also the patriarch of the party. In his glory days, Al was a rugby maven, spending 13 years with the Delaware rugby club. Legend has it; he even sported a fetching black eye on his wedding day, courtesy of a particularly enthusiastic scrum. When he's not reliving his rugby glory, you can find Al embracing his love for Scouting. He has spent a collective of over three whopping years in a tent, proving that his commitment to the great outdoors is as strong as his love for his family. But beneath that rugged exterior lies a secret passion—Pitch Perfect. Yes, you heard it right. Al Stiles is a closet Rebel Wilson fan, and his guilty pleasure movie nights are filled with aca-awesome moments. So, as we celebrate the union of two hearts, let's not forget to raise a glass to the man, the myth, the father of the bride—Al Stiles, the rugby-playing, tent-loving, Pitch Perfect enthusiast. Cheers to the legend!

Sherie Stiles

Mother of the Bride

Sherie Stiles, the radiant mother of the bride, burst into this world in Delaware, claiming the title of the oldest of five siblings and the undisputed queen of quirkiness. With two amazing offspring, Laurel and Russell, she recently added "grandma extraordinaire" to her resume. In her teenage years, Sherie wasn't just breaking hearts; she was breaking ice—earning a bronze in ice skating that left the rink colder than her ex's heart. The blood wedding in Game of Thrones? Yeah, that was basically a documentary about her family reunions. One day, while cruising in her vintage 1986 Fiero, she noticed cars swerving to the side. Little did she know, Laurel and Russell were in the backseat, playing cops and robbers with Mickey Mouse flashing lights. Classic mix-up, right? After retiring from the state parks, Sherie decided to trade flower beds for a different kind of greenery. She applied to be the head grower at a marijuana farm, proving that even in retirement, she's still planting seeds of hilarity. Cheers to the mother of the bride, the ice-skating matriarch, and the unintentional police impersonator!

Tom Bain

Father of the Groom

Let me tell you about Tom Bain, also known as Thomas' Dad. Born in Edinburgh, Scotland, he was the second of four siblings and a mischief-maker from the start. His mom bought him a brand new pair of shoes, and you know what he did? He ran through the mud like he was competing in the Olympics. His gran wasn't too pleased and chased him around, but he managed to escape up a tree. It's safe to say he was a rebel with a cause. When Jacquie was born, it was just after New Year's Eve, and Tom and Sheila were on their way to a party. But Sheila went into labor, so they got off the bus a few stops early. What did Tom do? He left his wife outside the shop while he went in to buy cigarettes. When they finally made it to the hospital, he tried to bring a bag of booze with him. The hospital staff didn't appreciate his humor and denied him entry, so he just dropped his wife off. Tom was a child during World War II, and he witnessed some interesting things. When a stray bomb hit a whiskey distillery, the whiskey flooded the streets, and people ran out of their houses with pots and pans to collect it. Tom was no exception. Despite his mischievous ways, Tom was a loving and caring husband and father. He would do anything for his family and always put them first. He passed away in 2017, but his memory lives on, and we all miss him dearly. Dad, we wish you were here to celebrate with us today. Cheers to you, the father of the groom, the one and only Tom Bain.

Sheila Bain

Mother of the Groom

Sheila, the mother of the groom, is a force to be reckoned with. Born in Edinburgh, Scotland, she came into the world ready to conquer it. And conquer it she did, starting with getting married in 1962 and going on to have four children. In 1972, Sheila and her family immigrated to the US, bringing her Scottish wit and charm. While working at a drug store, she had a hilarious mix-up when a customer asked for prophylactics. Sheila thought he asked for protractors and sent him down the school aisle, much to her boss's dismay. But don't think for a second that you could get away with anything in Sheila's house. If she wasn't home, you were never allowed company. She had a sixth sense for knowing when people were over, thanks to her sharp eye for detecting misplaced couch cushions. And let's not forget about her royal lineage. Sheila is a direct descendant of King Henry 1st and the Viking King Rollo, which explains her regal demeanor. But perhaps her most endearing quality is her love of rum. So much so that she's earned the nickname "Jack Sparrow" amongst her friends and family. So here's to Sheila, the mother of the groom, the queen of her castle, and the life of the party. We're happy to have her here on this special day, ready to share a laugh and a drink with anyone who's game.

Beth Wagner

Matron of Honor

Once upon a time, in Delaware, a mischievous soul named Beth entered the world. She's a multitasking wonder, juggling marriage, three kids, and a zoo of pets, including the notorious ghost who fancies playing pranks. That ghost is a real troublemaker, opening shower curtains, closing windows, and rearranging vases right before Beth's eyes. Talk about paranormal housekeeping! During her college escapades, Beth ventured to South Africa, where she sought the thrill of the wild. Roasting marshmallows under the stars, she found herself face to face with a pack of hyenas! Miraculously, she survived the encounter and lived to share the tale. Post-college, Beth headed for the beach, where fate played its hand. She landed a job and had the fortune of waiting on Laurel's favorite bands, the Gin Blossoms and Better Than Ezra. It's like she was destined to serve up tunes with her seafood platters! When she's not busy entertaining ghosts or hobnobbing with rock stars, Beth's hobbies shine brightly. She's a Phillies fan, a beach enthusiast, a Dateline detective, and a rollerblading extraordinaire. She's got skills, and she knows how to use them, especially when it involves cracking open a cold one while zooming along the boardwalk. Beth Wagner, the bridesmaid with a ghostly entourage and a knack for survival, is an extraordinary force to be reckoned with. Life with her is a whirlwind of adventure, and a healthy dose of the supernatural. Buckle up and enjoy the wild ride!

Mike Trapp

Best Man

Let me introduce you to the legend himself, Michael, Tom's brother-in-law extraordinaire! Born in Levittown, Pa, he burst into this world as the second of six siblings, ready to conquer it all. Tom meet Mike in 1993 when Tom was a mere 15-year-old, and Mike was sweeping Jacquie off her feet. Fast forward to 1995, they tied the knot, and chaos ensued as they became a family of five. Now, Mike isn't your average Joe. Oh no, he's the proud owner of Trooper Thorns, the finest Irish Pub in town. If there's one thing he loves more than his pub, it's his Tullamore Dew whiskey. That man could write a love song to that spirit! And speaking of music, did I mention he's a harmonica-playing, Irish-band-singing sensation? Catch him and the MacPhersons at your nearest pub, but be prepared for an eardrum-shattering good time. Oh, and let's not forget about Mike's encounter with baseball greatness. Picture this: breakfast with Phillies Manager Charlie Manuel at the Penrose Diner during the year the Phillies won the World Series! Impressive, huh? But wait, there's more! During his Temple University days, Mike transformed into an All-American offensive lineman, bulldozing opponents and clearing the way to victory. So, there you have it, the incredible and hilarious story of the best man and Tom's brother-in-law, Michael. A man who rocks a harmonica, raises a glass of Tullamore Dew, and still manages to conquer every challenge that comes his way. Cheers to you, Mike!

Jacqueline Trapp

Bridesman

Jacqueline, the bridesmaid and sister of the Groom, hails from the enchanting city of Edinburgh, Scotland. It seems her sense of adventure carried over when she immigrated to the US in 1972. Life took a hilarious turn when she married the Best Man, Mike. Together, they raised three wonderful daughters, ensuring a household full of laughter and chaos. Even in high school, Jacquie displayed her unique talents. Who else could confidently babysit the pet snake of a classmate, the legendary Kerry Von Erich? And let's not forget that time she unknowingly met Elton John, mistaking him for a mere impersonator. She truly has a gift for stating the obvious when she told him he looked just like Elton John! Jacquie's quirks don't stop there. While she loves swimming during the day, you won't catch her near the deep end at night. Why, you ask? Well, she believes sharks might just swim their way into the pool. Safety first, right? In a surprising twist, Jacquie's fascination with fear extends beyond sharks. She's a bona fide horror movie buff, having conquered every terrifying tale and haunted house in existence. Don't be surprised if she's the one offering popcorn during a scary movie marathon. From Edinburgh to the US, from hilarious encounters to irrational fears, Jacquie's autobiography is a delightful blend of comedy, mistaken identities, and a love for all things spooky. Life with her is bound to be an adventure filled with laughter and a touch of fright.

Nick "Chaos" Lamneck

Groomsman

Nick, also known as Chaos, hails from the vibrant town of Princeton, NJ, but found his true home in the welcoming embrace of Pennsylvania. As the youngest of two siblings, he quickly learned to stand out from the crowd. With three remarkable kids of his own, his adventurous spirit lives on in the next generation. Tom's journey with Nick began in 2005 at Trooper Thorns, where a casual drink ignited an unbreakable bond. Chaos has a knack for finding himself in extraordinary situations. Once, he impersonated an MVP for the USA Rugby World Cup team, granting him access to the illustrious 40th anniversary Sports Illustrated swimsuit party. Amidst the glamorous soirée, he reveled alongside the likes of Heidi Klum, Molly Sims, and Anna Kournikova. Nick's audacity also extended to the world of sports. A near skirmish with former Flyers legends Ron Hextall and Eric Desjardins over a fishing spot showcased his unwavering tenacity. Though tempers flared, peace prevailed, and they later shared a round at a local bar. Not one to shy away from danger, Nick has endured two separate instances of being stabbed, a testament to his resilience. And if that wasn't enough, he even landed a small role in "Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights," gracing the screen with his dancing prowess. Through it all, Nick's magnetic personality and zest for life have made him an extraordinary friend and an unforgettable groomsman.

Alexa Stiles

Bridesmaid

Alexa, the youngest of four siblings, was born in Grand Ledge, Michigan. Seeking new horizons, she ventured to the East Coast for graduate school, where she pursued her academic aspirations. In 2018, she exchanged vows with her loving partner, Russel, starting a beautiful chapter of her life as a wife. The joy multiplied when Alexa recently welcomed her first extraordinary baby boy into the world. While on a trip to Jamaica, Alexa found herself in an amusing yet precarious situation. Persuaded by a mischievous taxi driver, she purchased scalding hot soup and embarked on a nail-biting journey along a mountain road full of holes. The entire time, she skillfully maneuvered to avoid scalding herself with the burning soup, feeling as though she were a contestant on a hidden car game show. During her time in graduate school, Alexa demonstrated her compassionate nature by traveling to New Orleans to assist in the post-Hurricane Katrina rebuilding efforts. Deeply passionate about yoga, she completed a rigorous 200-hour yoga teacher training in 2021. Perhaps one day, she will share her love for yoga by becoming a teacher herself. Michigan may be Alexa's home state, but her heart beats to the rhythm of Kid Rock. Her abode is adorned with an array of Kid Rock collectibles, reflecting her unwavering adoration for the artist. We're overjoyed to have Alexa join in our wedding celebrations! Her presence fills our hearts with happiness for the extra special day.

Russel "Danger" Stiles

Groomsman

Russel, the charismatic brother of the bride, is a walking comedy show. Hailing from the enchanting town of Klamath Falls, Oregon, he was destined for laughter. Growing up with just one older sister must have toughened him up, as he fearlessly moved to Delaware at the tender age of one. Life took a hilarious turn for Russel in 2018 when he tied the knot with the bridesmaid, Alexa. And just when we thought his antics couldn't get any better, he recently became a proud papa to a baby boy. Russel's need for speed once led him to drive a Ford Formula car at a mind-boggling 140mph, completely oblivious to the flames engulfing his ride. It took frantic waving to bring him to safety! But that wasn't the only time Russel found himself in peculiar situations. During his Scout days, he played a game of "sardines" on a military base and ended up being held at gunpoint against a hummer. Talk about extreme hide-and-seek! And let's not forget his icy encounter while ice climbing when a colossal 40x5 ft icicle narrowly missed turning him into a human popsicle. Trouble seemed to find Russel at an early age too. At the ripe age of 13, during the infamous mischief night, he was caught red-handed egging people's houses. But hey, we all have our mischievous moments, right? Russel's life is an adventure of laughter and unpredictable escapades, making him the perfect groomsman and a constant source of entertainment for us all.

Eduard Marinita

Groomsman

Let me introduce you to the one and only Eduard, Tom's hilarious nephew and Groomsman extraordinaire! Born in Romania and arriving in the US as a teenager, Eduard quickly became the family's resident expert in all things mischief. As the middle child, he honed his comedic skills to keep everyone on their toes. In 2017, Eduard tied the knot with the grooms niece Nicquie, and soon after they welcomed their adorable baby boy into the world. But here's where things get interesting: Eduard's passion for fashion led him to a peculiar habit of sleeping in onesies, claiming they make him feel pretty. Who am we to argue with his style? Now, brace yourself for the most incredible revelation: Eduard is convinced that WWE wrestling is 100% real! No amount of reasoning or video evidence can sway his belief. But what truly tickles his funny bone is his secret love for mariachi bands. You'd never guess it, but he can salsa his way through a room like no other. And here's the cherry on top: while living in Romania, Eduard's neighbor and close friend was none other than Sebastian Stan, the infamous Bucky Barnes, aka Winter Soldier from the Avengers! Talk about rubbing shoulders with Hollywood royalty. Eduard's life is a comedy show in itself, and we're all just lucky to be part of the audience. Who needs TV when you have this guy as a relative?
