Grab coffee at Brown Bee Coffee, the Nitro Bar, or Ceremony, or sit down for breakfast at Frank & Laurie's. Fun fact: Gwyneth Paltrow dubbed Frank & Laurie's as "the best lunch of [her] life".
Providence is a very walkable city. We recommend you explore the historic homes on Benefit Street, walk the riverway at Waterplace Park, or take a stroll through Brown University. If you're feeling adventurous, rent a bike and ride the 14.5 mile East Bay Bike path which takes you from India Point Park in Providence to Bristol, RI.
Explore the iconic State House, tour the RISD Museum, or visit the Providence Athenaeum where Edgar Allen Poe used to hang out.
Spend the afternoon exploring the small shops on Westminster Street & Wickendon Street. While on Westminster Street, check out the Arcade: the oldest enclosed shopping mall in America. If you love vintage clothes, we recommend a stop by the Nest on Carpenter St.
If you're looking for restaurant recommendations, check out Al Forno, Oberlin, Cav, or Nightshift. While you're exploring the city, you'll see that Providence has an endless supply of great restaurants- you can't go wrong.
If you're staying for a long weekend, we recommend a day trip to Newport to visit the mansions and explore Thames Street or a trip to Narragansett for a beachside walk and a relaxing drink at Narragansett brewery.
