Cox Bay Lookout Morning Hike

We would love to gather with friends and family who are up for a bit of an adventure up a steep, muddy, root-covered hike to a beautiful lookout over Cox Bay and the rugged Pacific Ocean (Out & Back | 2.7 km | Moderate | ~1–2 hours | 115 m elevation gain). Please meet us at 10:00 AM in the Cox Bay Beach parking lot. From there, we’ll walk along the beach together toward the south end of Cox Bay, where our muddy ascent begins. It’s all part of the Tom and April adventure!
Afternoon Surf & Beach

Please bring your swimsuit, beach towels, refreshments and snacks.
Cox Bay is one of Tofino’s top surf spots, but even if you’re not catching waves, it’s a great place for a beach walk, picnic or swim. Cox is easily accessible from Pacific Sands Resort, Surf Grove Campground, or the public parking area via the trail just past the bathroom block. We will set up close to the trail head so everyone can find us after our morning hike :) Surfboard rentals are available at Surf Grove Campground and Surf Sister at Pacific Sands Resort at your own cost. Beach Attire: Whether you prefer breezy linens and bare feet or elegant evening gowns, all attire is welcome! Just keep in mind that heels and sand don’t always mix and a few walking trails will be taken between wedding sites. Wedding Colour: Earthy Green Tones.
Meet a the Beach Building Lobby to be led down a trail from the Wickaninnish Inn to the beach to witness the marriage of Tom and April, surrounded by our beautiful friends and family in a place we love so much.
