If you're looking to experience a bigger city feel without having to go all the way to Atlanta, try out the Avalon. In between Dahlonega and the Atlanta airport. Tons of luxury shopping, amazing lunch and dinner spots, plus plenty of hotel options if you are not looking to stay in a rental house.
Downtown Jasper is a quieter, more laid-back mountain town centered around its historic square, where guests will find antique shops, local boutiques, and relaxed dining without the busier tourist feel. It’s a great stop for a slower-paced afternoon and a more low-key glimpse of North Georgia life.
