Our story began long before either of us realized it. We first met at the University of North Georgia shortly after Thomas joined Pi Kappa Phi. Ansley's older brother, Logan, had warned all the brothers to stay away from his younger sister. Not long after, that same sister was standing right in front of Thomas. We introduced ourselves with a simple handshake and went our separate ways, unaware of what was to come. Throughout the year, we kept crossing paths. Whether it was on campus, in the gym, or in chow, we seemed to run into each other everywhere. What started as brief interactions slowly became a familiar face and a growing curiosity. When summer arrived, so did an unexpected social media follow request. After Ansley accepted, what began as casual conversations quickly turned into hours of talking about life, family, dreams, and everything in between. That summer, Thomas was studying abroad in the United Kingdom, but the distance didn't stop us from getting to know one another. Through daily FaceTime calls, we discovered just how much we had in common and how naturally our connection grew. By the time we returned to school, the nerves of meeting in person were overwhelming. But luckily we already knew each other. We spent our days exploring North Georgia, enjoying local adventures, and getting to know each other beyond a phone screen. There was an undeniable excitement to it all, especially considering how our story had begun. Although we had a first date planned, Thomas couldn't wait that long and spontaneously took Ansley out a week early. Afterward, we spent the evening driving through the downtown area of Athens, music playing, and the sunset stretching across the horizon. As the night went on, conversation came effortlessly, as if we had known each other for years. Then Thomas asked a simple question: "What are we waiting to start dating for?" Neither of us had an answer. From that moment on, we've been inseparable. What started with a handshake, a follow request, and a few unexpected conversations became a friendship, a partnership, and ultimately the love story that brings us here today.
