Lodging Suggestions

Here is the Conde Nast Traveler review from this past year. https://www.cntraveler.com/hotels/israel/jerusalem/mamilla-hotel--jerusalem

House Or Rental

VRBO or AirBnB

If you are looking at VRBO or AirBnB let us know. We can help direct you with streets and neighborhoods to look near and ones to stay away from.

Travel Note

Taxis

Gett Taxi is an app like uber that is very user friendly. When hailing a cab always insist on using the meter. Some drivers may suggest a negotiated fare. Don't accept it.

Hotel

Villa Ba'Moshava

13 Yehoshu'a Bin Nun Street
Jerusalem, Jerusalem District 9314531, Israel
 +972 2-542-3000

Villa Ba'Moshava is a small inexpensive quaint hotel located on a quiet street in the German Colony. There is a lovely private patio and provides a nice Israeli breakfast and tea in the afternoon.

Travel Note

Sherut - Shared Taxi/Mini-Bus

A sherut is a shared taxi, typically a eight to ten seat minivan, which runs on one of three routes – from city to city, within a city (usually along a bus route), and from the airport to Jerusalem and Haifa. Follow the link for more information.

Hotel

Mamilla Hotel

11 Shlomo ha-Melekh Street
Jerusalem, Jerusalem District, Israel
 +972 2-548-2222

Mamilla Hotel is a relatively new boutique hotel that has been well reviewed. It's priced between Villa Ba'Moshava and the King David.
