Lincoln Park Zoo Lights
$5 entrance fee, and you must register ahead of time, but a great way to see the animals as well as the festive lights around Lincoln Park Zoo! (Open until 10 pm)
Maggie Daley Park Ice Skating Ribbon
While not immediately close by, the Skating Ribbon is open for the holidays! It also requires a reservation pre-booked for $20 a person, however the upside is that you don't have to wait in the horribly long line they usually have!! Reservations can be made online and your skating windows are: 5:45-7:15pm or 8:00-9:30pm to allow for cleaning between groups.
Skydeck Chicago
First time to Chicago? See it all at once from the Sky Deck in the Willis Tower (where Matt's office is located!). Tickets can be reserved online ahead of time for $26 per adult.
360 Chicago
TILT out over the city for a one of a kind view at the top of the Hancock tower! Tickets range from $25 - 38 depending on what you wish to do!
The Art Institute of Chicago
There is a special Monet exhibit at the Art Institute that is only present until January 18th, so catch it while you can! The museum is only open until 6pm, so this may be best done before the ceremony as it opens at 11 am!
Museum of Science and Industry, Chicago
It's a bit of a drive away from the church, but this is the best time of the year to visit! See all the Christmas trees from around the world and maybe learn a new thing or two along the way! The museum closes at 4 pm, so please plan your visit for before the ceremony so you don't miss out.
Wrigley Field
While the field itself isn't open, it's still a great Chicago site to see with dozens of restaurants nearby if you get hungry!
Macy's Walnut Room
Do it all in once place! See the Macy's Christmas windows, get some shopping done, and check out the tree (and food!) in the Walnut Room.
Barcocina
Although we've never sat in one, Barcocina ups the "social distance" game with individually heated pods on their patio that you can rent to have dinner in! Reserve ASAP as I'm sure they'll go quickly!
City Winery
Always a great spot to take in a quiet concert, have an amazing dinner, or just have a glass of wine! Their "outdoor dining" is heated, covered, and socially distanced to make the night feel safe!
Farm Bar
This is one of our favorite restaurants just 2 blocks from St. Alphonsus. Don't forget to order Cheese Curds!
Sal's Trattoria
Matt's favorite Italian place in Chicago, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu! Call ahead to reserve a table, you won't regret it.
Will's Northwoods Inn
A Wisconsin themed classic, get your feel of being "up north" for the holidays here with a Leinie's on draft and of course, cheese curds!
