The dress code for the ceremony and reception is black tie. What does black tie entail? For men, think tuxedos (preferred) or dark colored suits. For women, think floor length evening gowns in any color other than white. In other words, dress to impress! If you’re still struggling, please refer to the link below for inspiration. https://pin.it/LaP9C0ySW
We kindly ask that you wear cocktail attire to the welcome party. Men can opt for a suit or slacks and a button down shirt. While a jacket is optional, please keep in mind that the weather in Antigua tends to get a little chilly at night during this time of year. For women, a cocktail dress in any length or color (except white) is perfect! Check out the link below for inspo. https://pin.it/5hxFjIfxH
While we do not have a wedding registry, we have created a fund to help us purchase our first home together. You can find it on our website under “Registry”. The fund - set up through Zola - accepts all major credit cards, or you may send your gift via Venmo to either @graciemarie_ or @JoshZevallos. Please note that Zola takes a percentage of any credit card contribution.
We appreciate your thoughtfulness! If you have something special in mind, feel free to surprise us. We’re excited about any gift you choose to give.
If you would like to give a monetary gift, you can do so via our First Home Fund found on our registry (please note that Zola will take a percentage of any credit card contribution), Venmo (make payments to @graciemarie_ or @JoshZevallos), or in person at the wedding. A card box will be available at the reception should you choose to give a gift in person. We appreciate your generosity in any form!
Your presence is the best gift we could ask for, and there is no obligation to give anything! If you do choose to give a gift, we will be grateful, but please know that it is optional.
In January, Antigua, Guatemala enjoys a mild and pleasant dry season. Daytime temperatures typically range from 68 degrees to 77 degrees, while nights can be cooler, dropping to the low 60s. We recommend bringing a light jacket or sweater to be worn at night. Rain is rare in January and skies are often clear. This makes January an ideal time to visit, with comfortable temperatures for outdoor activities and sight seeing.
While Convento Santa Clara - the ceremony venue - is an outdoor venue, the ceremony will be held in a covered structure. The reception will be held indoors at Casa Santo Domingo, however the cocktail hour will take place outdoors. We recommend bringing a light jacket or shawl as it may be a little chilly outside in the evening.
We love your little ones, but we’ve chosen to make our wedding an adults only celebration. Thank you for understanding!
We’ve arranged transportation for guests from Casa Santo Domingo and Camino Real to the welcome party, ceremony and reception. Transportation will also be provided at the conclusion of the reception for guests staying off property. More details can be found under the “schedule” section of our website.
We are happy to accommodate dietary restrictions. Please let us know of any allergies or special dietary needs ASAP.
Yes, we will have an open bar for our guests during the reception. Please have fun but drink responsibly!
We will be having an “unplugged” ceremony. We kindly ask guests to refrain from using their phones during the ceremony so that our photographer can capture the moment. Feel free to take pictures during the reception!
