Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Formal attire. The ceremony and reception will be indoors, with canapes served in the garden. Early August can be rather cold in the Highveld. So please keep this in mind when choosing your outfit.

Where will the ceremony and reception take place?

Answer

Both the reception and ceremony will take place at Die Akker Country Venue in Pretoria. Kindly see the Schedule tab for a link to the map.

What should I do if I can’t make it?

Answer

You will be missed! If you cannot make it to the reception, please let us know as soon as possible by indicating accordingly on the RSVP tab.

What time should I arrive?

Answer

We ask that you would arrive from 4:00 PM and be seated in the chapel by 4:20 PM. The ceremony will start at 4:30 PM.

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Our wedding is by invitation only. We will unfortunately only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.

Can I bring my children?

Answer

Although we love children, we regretfully cannot accommodate them at the venue due to number restrictions.

What about drinks?

Answer

There will be a cash bar available throughout the evening. Please DO NOT bring your own alcohol as there will be a corkage fee payable.

Is there parking available?

Answer

There is parking available at the venue. However, we ask that where possible please carpool so as to reduce the number of cars going into and out of the parking area. Please also note that there is a 300 metre stretch of gravel road before you arrive at the venue. While this road is well-maintained, we do not advise going for a car wash before the reception!

Is there a gift registry?

Answer

If you were thinking of giving a gift, to help us on our way, a gift of cash would really make our day. However, if you prefer to purchase a gift, feel free to surprise us in your own way. Should you so wish, please reach out to either of us if you require our banking details.

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

Yes, we encourage guests take and post pictures on social media, especially before and after the ceremony. Our only request is that you tag either of us so we can keep track of all of your pictures. Kindly also send any photos you don't post.
