Wedding Party

The Wedding Website of Brittany Powell and Chance Wideman
Meet the group of friends and family who will be walking down the aisle with us. We can't imagine celebrating without them.

Samantha

Maid of Honor

Sam is Brittany's older sister, almost-Irish-twin, and forever her partner in crime. They were not the best roommates but are (somehow still) best friends and can always make each other laugh. From stealing the car to do birthday-present heists, to constantly doing each other's hair (by "each other's", I mean Sam doing Brittany's), they have spent their lives attached at the hip. You can always find Sam in the middle of the crowd leading a dance or a group song! And you most-definitely want to recruit her to make your cookout's mac n' cheese!

Steven

Best Man

Steven and Chance met at their first job at "One Small Step" and quickly became friends. They have had 39,278 (estimation) debates over sports, music, and whether SK secretly still drinks Skinny-Girl Vodka. These two both work in higher education and share a passion for helping advance the Pittsburgh community.

Taylor Jade

Maid of Honor

Taylor is Brittany's younger sister and the one she shares the "middle child" title with. Folks used to say they would fight over who should get the fire extinguisher while the house burned down around them. But that's just their charm! Brittany loves Taylor and is fiercely protective over her like her "firstborn child" (as she so lovingly refers to her). Taylor is the ultimate hype-man, whether you're playing basketball or trying to finish carne asada fries after 40 days of fasting. You can find the younger Powell sister creating magic with words and changing the world.

Tejuan

Best Man

Tejuan and Chance met when they were just members of "One Small Step", and continued their friendship while working there and at the city pool (where they convinced everyone they were brothers for 10 years). People should be reminded never to ask Tejuan about how he made everyone late over a Mushroom Swiss Burger...he is still sensitive about it. He is definitely the friend to go to if you ever need a laugh.

Jessie

Bridesmaid

Jessie is Brittany's former high school rival and forever best friend. As the story goes, Brittany tried to trip Jess at a season-opener, and Jess never even noticed (because Brittany missed). These two became "ride or die's" almost immediately in college, and have somehow - narrowly - avoided having to ride and die multiple times. Please let it be known that Jess would 100% beat Brittany in 1-on-1 but Brittany would remain the champion of H.O.R.S.E.

Chuck

Groomsman

Chuck and Chance met through their other friends and formed their own bond thereafter. Chuck continues to play basketball in his spare time, even though his bad knees and even-worse free throws tell him not to. He is the go-to person to hang with if you want to relax in silence, but still with company.

Heather

Bridesmaid

Heather and Brittany were instant best friends on day 1 of their college visits. They got into trouble together over and over again and shared lots of tears and laughter together. Many will find it surprising that they never ended up arrested, but they did have to call the police multiple times after locking their keys in the car. They share loves of mac sauce, KFC, and curly hair.

Reece

Groomsman

Reece is Brittany's younger brother and the youngest of the Powell siblings. He and Chance have gotten the opportunity to bond over concerts, Marvel, and making fun of Brittany. Reece is happy to finally have a brother, especially one who also snores on long car rides. He is the friend that will liven up any party.

Shanna

Bridesmaid

Shanna and Brittany became fast friends in college while bonding over the Stanky-leg at a party the summer before school started. Brittany prides herself on being Shanna's worst influence. According to the bride, Shanna is her go-to person to relax with. They can sit on the couch for hours without having to "do" anything, and that's real love. Quiet as it's kept (and Shanna IS quiet), Shanna is actually the "funny one".

Brian

Groomsman

Brian and Chance met as line brothers freshman year at RMU, and they went on to be roommates for 3 years. Brian is the only person you will ever meet from Minnesota...because no one lives there. Do yourself a favor and never ask him about "Code Red" or his hotel-room fire. Friendship with Brian is nothing short of an adventure.

Abbey

Bridesmaid

Brittany became Abbey's Resident Assistant in their apartment building their junior year at West Chester, and the two quickly realized that they were going to be friends forever. Abbey's claim to fame was she did the meanest (translation: most amazing) euro-step in open-gym one day for an and-1 layup. Sadly, that resulted in the biggest, most black-and-blue ankle that anyone had ever seen. It was Abbey's, not the defenders. Abbey's daughter, Avianna, is Brittany's goddaughter and she will spoil her for the rest of her life.

CJ

Groomsman

CJ and Chance met in 4th grade at Beltzhoover Elementary. They were Safety patrols together and had walkie talkies to talk to each other from their houses. Chance and CJ used to consult each other on what to wear on the first day of school, but lucky for them, the 3XL Tshirts and Air Forces have gone out of style. CJ is the friend that you can always pick right back up with even if you don't speak every day.

Alaina

Bridesmaid

Alaina is Chance's adopted (but not actually) sister from their close bond and long-lasting friendship formed in college at RMU. Alaina quickly became Brittany's friend, and she has vowed to take Alaina away from Chance and over to "her side". The two have had some fun nights together, full of too much liquor...the details of which are very blurry. There are many more adventures and laughter ahead for these two.

Tirrell

Groomsman

These two met when Tirrell joined the fraternity, and Chance was one of the members who helped bring him. Tirrell and Chance once wrote a song together called "We Wrote It On A Saturday", however, their music careers never took off and the dream was over by Sunday. Tirrell became like a little brother to Chance and is known for his high energy and positivity.

Becky

Bridesmaid

Becky and Brittany bonded quickly over their love for fun and dancing. You could catch these two in the middle of the crowd at every party. Unfortunately, that usually resulted in lots of sweat, and bad pictures to capture the ruined shirts. Thankfully, they were always able to dry off on their long walks home in heels. Although Brittany has bad knees, and Becky is a doctor, they vow to dance like hot messes for the rest of their lives. That type of friendship lasts a lifetime.

Jamall

Groomsman

Jamall and Chance became friends and fraternity brothers while joining their freshman year....well, maybe the "friends" part happened a little later. Jamall and Chance played each other in high school football, and while neither of them remembers each other, they will still argue over who's better. They have a friendship that pushes each other to be better in life.
