When is the RSVP deadline? Do I need to mail back my RSVP or can I do it online?

Answer

RSVP deadline is June 1st, 2023. Guests who do not RSVP by this date will be forfeiting their spot for our special day. You are able to RSVP right here in our Zola Website.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home or in the hotel room so you can celebrate with us on this day.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We have a strict guest list to stay on budget. Our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.

How will we be able to communicate while at the resort?

Answer

We would recommend you downloading the app, What’s App. What’s App is an option to use if you don’t have cell phone service while in Mexico and you’d like to communicate with anyone in the US. It is a communication application for your smart phone which will allow you to communicate via text, call, and video chat within the app.

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our ceremony and reception will be held outdoors. If the weather takes a turn we will have indoor options.

What will the weather be like this time of year?

Answer

In Playa Del Carmen, October is known as the month where the rainy season is ending and the dry season starts, so prepare for a little rain just in case. The temperature averages from 71-86 degrees Fahrenheit.

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

We ask guests to wear Summer Semi-Formal attire for the ceremony. What does this mean?! COLOR, COLOR, COLOR! We have added a link with what we mean by Summer Semi-Formal. For the reception, you are welcome to change into cocktail attire if you wish but it is not required. Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

Yes, we encourage guests to post pictures on to their social media channels, our only request is that you tag each photo with our wedding hashtag #TheWeddingtonsTakeMexico so we can keep track of all of your pictures!

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

After the ceremony, we invite everyone to take pictures with us. After your photo is taken, please enjoy the resort amenities until cocktail hour at 5pm located on the rooftop terrace. * Don’t forget to bring your dollars for the Dollar dance! *

Will food and drinks be served at the reception? What kind of food?

Answer

At the cocktail hour, there will be passed hors d'oeuvres. The food served at the reception will be served buffet style with Caribbean themed eats. There will be a variety of options including beef, pork, fish, and chicken as well as limited vegetarian options. We will have an open bar at the cocktail hour and reception that will include select liquor, beer and wine for our guests to enjoy.

Anything else happening that weekend?

Answer

On Thursday October 26th we will host an all white welcome party. The event will start at 8pm and end at 10pm. We will also be having a family day at the beach or pool on Saturday October 28. Everyone is welcome to join!
