As guests will be traveling from all over the country, we anticipate there will be staggered arrivals throughout the day and into Thursday (by 10 am). If you are arriving on 9/3/2025, you should plan to get a hotel room at the Defiance House Lodge for the night. See Travel tab for more info! FYI - The cell service at Lake Powell is almost non-existent. Please ensure you are mapping your destination before you get too close. Once you arrive, you can connect to the hotel WIFI or our Starlink. See FAQ page for additional information about internet!

Please join us on the Docked House Boat at Bullfrog Marina for Apps and Cocktails. This is a great opportunity to drop off your belongings (if you don't need them overnight) and meet everyone!

Boating Embarkment

There is a gift shop at the hotel with coffee and some little items, but Breakfast will be available on the boat! Please arrive at the docks no later than 9:45 AM. We will be leaving the Marina promptly at 10:00!

Lake and Boating Attire
We will be boating to our campsite and wedding venue for the weekend celebrations! When we arrive at the camp site, we will need some help to dock the boats. Per lake rules, we are only able to move 24 people (12 on the houseboat and 12 on the pontoon) at one time. We will be shuttling guests on our pontoon boat, as needed. If for some reason your inbound travels do not allow you to make it to the marina by 10:00 AM on 9/4, please let Caroline know ASAP. We can be sure to come back and pick up stragglers as they arrive. The rest of the afternoon and evening is for hanging out and enjoying Lake Powell!

Wedding Set-Up

We will be taking the morning to set-up for the wedding ceremony and reception. Please note - there is not very much set-up required, but we may ask you to help with some tasks!
Wedding Prep (Hair & Make-up)

Getting Ready Outfits
All guests should plan to be ready by 2:30 PM and head to their wedding seats. Note - we will have shower sign-ups and spots available for everyone to get ready (girls and boys rooms). However, since there is limited mirror space, it might be helpful to bring a personal one if you need it.
Ceremony

Pictures + Dinner Prep
3:30 pm - 4:30 pm

We will want to take some pictures with all our guests, but otherwise this is time for everyone to hang out while Ethan and I get dinner set-up! Guests will not be required to set-up dinner for wedding night.
Wedding Dinner

We are having a standard wedding dinner on the beach, think long tables, speeches, etc. After dinner, the party will move to the top of the house boat!

Clean Up + Return Boats

We will be taking the morning to clean-up and get back to the dock for departures. There is not too much clean-up (sweeping out boat, stripping beds, etc.) but we may ask our guests to help with some tasks. If you have not already, please let Caroline know when and where your departure flights are from. We will ensure we get you back to the docs in time to make all required transportation. If you are flying out from Grand Junction - I recommend booking a flight that leaves after 3 PM. That way, we can try and get you to shore by 10 am, which will give you time to drop off your rental and make your flight.
