Welcome Party

8:30 pm - 10:00 pm

Vincent Chicco's
39G John Street, Charleston, SC 29403

Dressy Casual

We acknowledge that making a weekend wedding trip to Charleston can require some sacrifices. Because of that, we think you should be rewarded with a fun and lively welcome party to break-in the weekend. Vincent Chicco's is located in the heart of stunning downtown Charleston. We encourage you to explore the shops, restaurants, bars, and history of King Street before and after the welcome party. Light snacks and libations, including but not limited to Friday beers, will be served. Charleston's charm and hospitality will surely be on display. All guests are invited, but please RSVP if you plan on attending. Parking is available in the Camden Garage that backs up to the alley where the restaurant is located or along the streets nearby. See you there!

Wedding Ceremony

2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Cathedral of Saint John the Baptist
120 Broad Street, Charleston, SC 29401

Cocktail Attire

The Cathedral is our weekly church, and we are incredibly excited to welcome you in! As the "mother church" of the Catholic Diocese of Charleston, the Cathedral is one of, if not the most, beautiful churches in all of Charleston. Located on historic Broad St, the original church on this property dates to the 1850's. After a fire in the 1860's, the Cathedral was rebuilt in 1890 upon the original foundation and renamed after St. John the Baptist. After about 130 years of Catholic worship, the once plain Cathedral underwent significant renovations including better lighting, sound, A/C, and most importantly, beautiful interior painting and decor (hint: look up at the new starred ceiling). The newly renovated Cathedral reopened its doors in 2020 in the beautiful state that you'll see on our special day. Our ceremony will be part of a Catholic mass service, which is estimated to take about 1 hour. For those who are not Catholic, we welcome you with open arms into our wedding mass!

Wedding Reception

4:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Historic Rice Mill Building
17 Lockwood Drive, Charleston, SC 29401

Cocktail Attire

Charleston is synonymous with history, waterways, and culinary excellence -- very few venues embody these as well as the Historic Rice Mill. Formally known as West Point Rice Mill, the building for our reception was constructed in 1861 around the outset of the Civil War. At the height of the American rice industry, the Rice Mill was one of the busiest establishments in all of Charleston. On our special day, it will be filled not with rice, but with our favorite friends, family, food, and drinks. With gorgeous views of the Ashley River and the nearby Yacht Club, there's no doubt you will feel like a Charlestonian, if only for the night (as long as you say "y'all" once or twice). Cocktail hour will begin loosely at 4:00 on the covered back patio, followed by a seated dinner. Come hungry and pack your dancing shoes! After the reception, you might just convince the bride and groom to continue the celebration at some of our favorite downtown bars!

Post-Reception Shuttle

7:30 pm - 8:30 pm

The Von Bargen's are providing a free shuttle after the reception to all of the blocked hotels as well as downtown to ensure that everybody can enjoy the open bar without the need for driving.
