Palm Springs Aerial Tramway

The Palm Springs Aerial Tramway—the world’s largest rotating tram car—travels over two-and-one-half miles along the breathtaking cliffs of Chino Canyon, transporting riders to the pristine wilderness of the Mt. San Jacinto State Park. During your approximately ten-minute journey, tram cars rotate slowly, offering picturesque and spectacular vistas of the valley floor below. Once you reach the Mountain Station—elevation 8,516 feet—enjoy two restaurants, observation decks, natural history museum, two documentary theaters, gift shop and over 50 miles of hiking trails.

El Paseo Shopping District

Located in Palm Desert, spans nine blocks, offering over 300 shops from high-end retailers to local boutiques and features more than a dozen restaurants from quick bites to fine dining.

Palm Springs Air Museum

The Living Desert Zoo and Gardens

The Living Desert is home to over 500 animals representing over 150 species. Fill your morning or afternoon here by feeding a giraffe, petting the goats, riding on the carousel and walking among the wallabies at the Australian Adventures exhibit.

Smoke Tree Stables

If you're feeling really adventurous, try Smoke Tree Stables and ride a horse on a palm tree path. They offer horseback riding lessons and guided trail rides through the stunning palm tree landscape. After the ride, you can hang out with the horses and learn how to brush and care for them.
