My sister is one of the people I’ve know the longest in this world. After getting through our childhood drama and spats and fights (her fault), we became much closer. Perfect timing for her to move across the world, to Japan. It's now been over 4 years and I think we're both excited for her to come back to a state that she's never been to, and watch me marry a man that she hasn't even met yet.

Andrew (or Normy) has been one of my best friends for the past few years. He's the only person other than Juli that I talk to almost every single day since I graduated college. I haven't seen him since he graduated (mostly his fault for moving to Florida). Before he left, we were able to put 25 cents into a gumball machine that rolled out a tattoo design, and got those tattooed on our bodies.
Lauren Ames

Even though Lauren is three years younger than me, we make it work. The first time we met, it was a day after my co-op was complete and I booked it back to Rapid City so I was able to meet all of the little freshman that accepted their bids for my sorority, Lauren being one of them. Now instead of being in charge of her, I would say we have a pretty 50/50 friendship.

Trey was one of the first people I met at college, and I didn't like him right away. We lived on the same floor freshman year which forced us to talk and become friends (and our friends were friends), and that ended up working out. We never ran out of things to talk about while eating our crappy mall Chinese food together. One of the best people to make college memories with, easy.

We've known each other for about 5 years, actually met first semester freshman year of college. Flash forward 3 years, that's when we started to become friends after she joined my sorority. After another year, when we (and Ethan) got stuck in Rapid, I made her come hang out with me rather than letting her hermit herself in her studio apartment. Now, we bond over having our black cats.

Austin (or Hammer) was another one of my first friends at college, except I did like him right away. Cole introduced me to him when they were on the track team together, which scared me because I thought I'd have to be athletic to be his friend, I was semi-correct. Luckily, just being able to talk about sports is good enough. A lot of time and money was spent on Sunday football, pizza, and wings.
Nash Fahy

Nash has two little toddlers that take up a majority of her time while living across the world from me. I like to brag that I knew about both of her pregnancies before she told me. Life took us apart for a while, but we grew closer in the two years right before she moved, of course. Now we stay in touch but don't expect messages back for 10 hours at least because of the drastic time change.

When I was living in the frat house, we spent many nights playing video games from 10 pm to 5 am. Then Dan moved to Omaha, where I moved to after graduating. I hung out with only him for all of 2021, and of course many, many hours of video games were played. We still catch up and play videogames even while states away. Him and Juli cook together, and he's made the only lasagna I've ever liked.
Alyssa Ottman

Even though Alyssa and I grew up less than an hour apart and played the same sport growing up, we never met until our second year of college. She was my one friend at my 21st birthday in my hometown, the day before I left for my co-op. Alyssa, Kate, and I all starting to become close right before Alyssa rudely graduated before the rest of us. Now, we're both stuck with each other.
Kole Pickner

We have been friends since we were in diapers and he is one of my oldest friends. I went to Kole's mom's day care back in the day, and we've been together ever since. From playing at recess together every day, to driving four hours round trip for Cherry Berry in high school, to him joining the same frat as me in college, even living together for a time (plus Juli), always together.

I don't think many people, including the two of us, really saw our friendship forming in just a few short months. But, becoming regulars at bars in town and drinking whiskey cokes and whiskey sours like water to fulfill a school tradition makes some quick friends. Aaron is one of Ethan's frat brothers and the biological little brother of Ethan's frat big brother. Confusing, I know.
Regan Everson

One of my longest friendships I've kept up with, we met when I was in 7th or 8th grade. We went through cringy middle and high school times, but still made it through as friends. Nowadays, we catch up probably once a month, I mean Regan tells me about her life for an hour and yells at me for not saying anything and then I talk about myself for a little bit before we hang up, I guess.
Cole Osendorf

Cole is one of the friends that both of us share in common, though he was Ethan's friend first, finally the original college friend. He, along with Hammer and Trey, were the people that pushed Ethan to talk to Juli for the first time, and since you're reading this, it worked out pretty well. Cole is one of the few people that we both really love, and couldn't imagine a better person to marry us.
