This hike took us about 1.5 hours and had a beautiful view of Boise and some mountains from the top! Although, this hike has an elevation gain of around 800' in about 1.5 miles, so I wouldn't recommend to anyone who has knee or hip pain! This is the first hike we did in the Boise area and we loved it! Park in the 'Table Rock Cross Trail Parking' and follow Trail 15 or 15A.
If we want a good burger or chicken sandwich, this is the place to go. Ethan's favorite is the Hot Buff Burger with a single patty and Juli always gets the Crispy Hawaiian Chicken Sandwich, make sure to get a side of fried pickles or tater kegs.
Ever since Ethan started to actually like coffee, we get it every Saturday morning. Our all time favorite place is Black Rock Coffee. Juli usually goes for a dirty chai latte or a pink passion tea and Ethan goes for the caramel truffle but we both super enjoy the mexican mocha.
This museum is a not-for-profit organization funded by donations, which is pretty cool. It's about $14 per adult, but honestly well worth it. This place has tons of educational material that you could read for days and days, there's just so much to look at. Of course, make sure to look at the planes and helicopters.
Out of Camel's Back Park, there are numerous hiking trails! They go from extremely easy to moderately hard trails, perfect for people with kids but also avid hikers. We highly recommend googling to find a trail map of the area and choose the trail right for you. Some are much more steep than others, so pay attention to that!
Ever since moving away from Sickie's Garage, we've been looking for another. Sid's Garage is the closest, in name, food, and theme. Make sure to get one of their absolutely huge burgers and an enormous milkshake with a slice of cake on top, it's all well worth the price.
The Greenbelt is one of the most talked about locations in Boise. It runs ~25 miles along the Boise River, with tree lined paved trails with many trails breaking off. If you're biking or walking on it, make sure to keep an eye out for any restaurants or places to visit! There's a lot to see. Make sure to try out their food truck and beer garden at Green Acres if you make your way close to downtown.
If you've never had Korean BBQ in a cup, you're missing out! If you're a Shark Tank watcher, this one might sound familiar. You get a combination of cabbage, rice, and noodles covered with your choice of meat then choose your spice level! The *authentic* spice level is a 7.5...... Juli goes for a solid 3 and Ethan usually goes for a 4-5.
