Question

What is the attire for the wedding?

Answer

We've asked our guests to wear neutral-colored, semi-formal attire. Neutral colors include grays, browns, blacks, and creams. Semi-formal is an elevated, sophistacted, or dressy casual outfit . Below I have more explanation and a link to inspiration photos for visualization. For the gents: a nice pair of khakis or slacks with a snazzy sweater or button up shirt, ties/bow-ties and suit jackets are optional but it is always great to look your best! Question

What time should I arrive to the cereomy?

Answer

It's always best to come a little early to find your seat and get settled. We recommend arriving around 3:40-3:45 PM. Celestial Notes Orchestra will start playing about 15 minutes before the cereomy starts. Enjoy the music and fresh air!

Question

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The cereomy will take place lakeside outdoors, so wear shoes that can handle some grass and gravel! The reception will take place indoors at the lodge.

Question

Will there be an open bar or cash bar?

Answer

No, Johnston Woods is strictly a non-alcoholic venue. There will be no alcohol served at the wedding and guests are prohibited from bringing it on-site.

Question

What if I can only make it to part of the wedding?

Answer

We would love to see you there, even if it's just for a short while. If you can only make it to either the ceremony or reception, that is okay. Please RSVP accordingly. We only ask that once the ceremony has begun, guests do not enter or leave until it is complete.

Question

When do I need to RSVP by?

Answer

July 31st. Details like seats, food, and more have to be planned ahead of time. Giving us a few months notice if you will or will not be attending will help greatly reduce stress during the planning process.

Question

Can I bring a gift to the wedding?

Answer

Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift of all. However, if you wish to bring a gift, there will be a table set up to receive them.

Question

Do you have any suggestions for places to stay or things to do?

Answer

Of course! Head over to the Travel tab to check it out.
