We're Getting Married!

The world of online dating hadn't been easy or successful for either of us, but Matt's initial message promising a serenading of Goofy's Work song, somehow made it different from the start. After a few weeks of messages, phone calls and FaceTiming we went on our first date, spending the entire day together in Lakeland, which was an absolutely Perfect Day! Dating hasn't been the easiest, while living la vida Corona, as Matthew likes to say, but by early May I love you's were exchanged and talks of forever began.

On October 31, 2020, Amanda was serving at her Church's Annual Fall Festival. Due to Covid it was a Drive-Through event this year and Amanda's tent stop was Grinch themed. SO naturally she was dressed in full Christmas Who-Ville attire, when Matthew and Amanda's mom drove through. Amanda was only expecting Mom to come-by as Matt had gone back home to St. Pete earlier in the week, so it was such a nice surprise to see him! They pulled over off to the side of the tent, for what Amanda thought was just to take a picture, because she looked oh so "Festive". However, they both got out of the car and while walking towards the tent, Matthew stopped and got down on one knee, popping the question right there in the middle of the parking lot! With cars beeping and all of the bystanders shouting and cheering, through tears and excitement Amanda responded with an Absolute "Yes!!"
