TClaude and Jean’s love story began 4 years ago, in the most unique way to say the least. On Sunday January 21st ,2018, one of TClaude’s closest friends, Gabby, was getting ready for a birthday photoshoot, which TClaude had no intention of attending. However, Michard encouraged her to go. The photographer happened to be Sebastien, the Best Man, who is also one of Gabby’s childhood friends. And so, as fate would have it, the two lovebirds found themselves at the same place at the same time. But it was not a very “fairy-tale like '' first encounter, as TClaude had on old sweatpants and a ripped sweatshirt - typical TClaude. Jean, Sebastien’s best friend and photography mentor, was assisting with the photoshoot and barely spoke to anyone nor introduced himself - typical Jean. During Gabby’s outfit change, Jean approached TClaude to recreate a picture he had seen on Instagram, to which she agreed. They exchanged Snapchat IDs and continued with the photoshoot. Once the photoshoot was over they hung out. After some shared laughs and shots of Jack Daniel’s Honey, they got drunk and realized that they couldn’t stand each other. The next day, Jean had posted the picture he took of Tclaude on his Snapchat and she immediately messaged him. They spent the whole day speaking, mostly making fun of one another, as well as their friends. From that point on, their adventure together began! A year after they met, they traveled to the Bahamas. It was on this trip that they discovered their love of traveling. They started a tradition of traveling somewhere at least once a year to create new memories. So far the pair have visited Costa Rica, Mexico, Texas, Panama, Puerto Rico, Haiti and more. The lovebirds moved in together in Long Island, after a year of dating. They continued to travel the world while also embracing their love of food, by trying out different types of restaurants, and their love for a well made cocktail. Jean quickly became THE go to bartender. They later moved to New Jersey where they expanded their family and welcomed their son/dog Kobe and daughter/dog Bella. Most recently the family of four, embarked on a new adventure in Texas.

The story of how they met is crucial to their engagement story. They have been envisioning and talking about getting married for quite some time now. TClaude would send thousands of ring pictures, as well as wedding dresses, to her friends. The two of them would often discuss what it would be like being married to one another. By the Fall of 2020, Jean started to have the conversation of getting married with his closest friends. After his dad met TClaude in September 2020 and after getting their parents’ approval, Jean started to talk to Stephane, the Maid of Honor, to get an idea of what the PERFECT ring was. The following year, with the help of friends and family, Jean worked on three different ring designs and set his mind on proposing in Haiti in the Summer of 2021. Unfortunately, this could not happen due to YOU KNOW, Haiti being HAITI. So he decided to make it happen during his favorite month and holiday season: December/Christmas. With that in mind, he started to plan with Sebastien and Vonissa. The trio planned a “birthday / NYE trip” to celebrate Vo’s birthday which is in late December. Tclaude, who was none the wiser, simply prepared to celebrate her good friend’s birthday on a fun vacation. On December 31st, 2021, as the sun began to set on the beautiful Panamanian horizon, the couple took a stroll on the beach. And at the most picturesque moment when the sun met the horizon, Jean got down on one knee and asked in the most Jean way, “Are we doing this forever?” to which she replied in the most TClaude way “OH S***!” After years of love, laughter, so much adventure and a shared love of traveling, TClaude and Jean are excited to become ONE, in what they know will be an even more wonderful and memorable celebration, alongside their family and friends in Puerto Rico.
