When and where is the wedding?
Answer
August 29, 2026 at Almost Heaven Barn, Shinnston, WV. Ceremony starts at 4:30pm in the open-air chapel building, with a cocktail hour and reception immediately following.

Where should we stay?
Answer
We’ve shared a few hotel options in the Travel & Accommodations section to help with planning, and there are plenty of Airbnbs in the area too if you’d like a more private or homey stay. While there isn’t anything right next to our venue, the drive is short, and the surrounding area is so beautiful—it’s definitely worth it!

What should we wear?
Answer
Please dress nicely for our August wedding. At minimum, think a polo and khakis or a summer dress. Jeans, t-shirts, and overly casual clothes aren’t appropriate. It’ll be warm, so breathable fabrics are best, and we want everyone looking polished and ready to celebrate!

Can I bring a guest?

Are children invited?
Answer
Children are welcome, but our wedding will be adult-focused with drinks and a lively atmosphere. There won’t be childcare, and if little ones can’t stay quiet during the ceremony, parents may be asked to step outside.

Is there an open bar?

Yes! Drinks are on us, hangover is on you.

Will transportation be provided to the venue?
Answer
There isn’t formal transportation provided, so most guests drive themselves. Carpooling is a great option if you’re traveling with friends or family. The venue has parking available for everyone.

Will there be food?
Answer
Yes! We’ll be serving a full meal at the reception, and during cocktail hour there will be a charcuterie board for everyone to enjoy. You’ll be well fed and ready to celebrate all night!
