Erika- little sister of Ashley, best friend of Allen. She’s the one that saw Allen for the first time and said “Ashley, that’s your husband!” She also set up the movie events so Ashley could invite Allen over. Erika is Ashley’s built in buddy. Travelling to Ireland together, and other parts of Europe. Going to concerts, and theme parks, weddings; sometimes all 3 in one day! Erika is always down for a good time. Things look a little different now, we still go out and about, sometimes with an extra toddler or two.

Riley Kordek

Best Man

Riley and Allen also met as teenagers working at The Home Depot, along with our friend Sam. I may be biased, but I don't think the best thing to come from Philly is the cheesesteak, but in fact is Riley. Riley is one of the most intelligent and compassionate people I have ever met. He does not hesitate to help those in need, and is the foundation of our friend group. The running joke between our friends is that Riley is my dad, since he has cared for me like a father to his son. He not only shares his love with his friends and family, but also with his 6 fur babies. He is the life of the party and knows how to throw down on the dance floor!

Jewel Blackwood

Maid of Honor

Ashley’s best friend. Jewel lives in Dallas. We met through the kid's summer camp in 2014 that we were working at. We bonded over lunch and Modern Family. Jewel and Ashley have travelled back and forth to see each other, and have also travelled to England, Scotland, Italy, and Greece together. Jewel is Ashley's voice of reason, and chaos. She's always down for a coffee run and a good time out on the town exploring. Though she lives in Dallas, Jewel has always been just a phone call or text away. We enjoy keeping each other company (via facetime) on long drives and grocery trips :)

Sam Lopez

Best Man

Sam is the greatest import from Colombia! Allen and Sam met working as teenagers at The Home Depot. Sam is one of the most genuine people I have ever met, always open to the idea of adventure, and was a phenomenal tour guide to amazing hidden food spots when he lived in the Fort Lauderdale/Miami area. Even though we have been far apart for the majority of our friendship, the fun always continues where we left off when we get reunited. Fun fact: we have matching Batman tattoos!

Evelyn Magana

Bridesmaid

Evelyn is Ashley's long time best friend. They met in 2009 while working at their church's daycare. Ev and Ashley have gone on girl trips to New York and Chicago, and have spent plenty of time at Disney and Universal together. Evelyn has always been there with an encouraging word and prayer. Ev and Ashley also have an annual Christmas Gift Exchange that they share over breakfast. People often confused them for cousins, so after a while, they just went with it. We call each other Best Friend Cousins.

Chris Taylor

Groomsman

Chris is Ashley's brother-in-law, married to her sister, Erika, but soon to be Allen's brother-in-law, or simply put, brother. Chris has to be one of the most loyal people I have ever met, reaching out a helping hand in a moment's notice. He is a pure workhorse, but always makes time to spend it with friends and family. We both share a love for game nights, especially when we tag team against Curiel's winning streak. When Chris starts to giggle hysterically, good luck resisting the urge to not laugh along with him.

Ashley Curiel

Ashley, dubbed "Curiel", came along as Erika's best friend, and jokingly became the sister Ashley never asked for. Nonetheless, Curiel has become a pillar part of the Diaz Household. Curiel and Ashley have spent countless hours binging TV shows, and singing their Backstreet Boys loving hearts out in concert. They also enjoy the occasional trip to Universal. Curiel is there at every special event, and dominates every game night. Curiel is also the fashion forward friend everyone needs.

Jayleen Espinal

Groomswoman

Jayleen has known Allen the longest out of anyone in the entire world, 9 months longer to be exact, since we are twins/wombmates. It has been an incredible journey growing up and reaching the same milestones in life together. We share similar interests in video games and animes, which I thrive on the deep conversations we have had about the storylines. Over the years, I have witnessed Jayleen go from a social turtle, hiding in her shell, to a sassy and confident savage. Her sense of humor is silly, and one in a million, and I love the moments when we are quite literally rolling on the floor laughing after hearing one of her jokes.

Maria Eveson

Bridesmaid

Maria is Ashley's longest standing friendship within the bridal party. Maria and Ashley were 13 when they met as volunteers in the church's nursery. Maria and Ashley went to different high schools, but made time for each other on the weekends to go to the beach and shopping. Until Maria moved to the Jacksonville area. So now, they plan trips to visit each other, and text to stay in touch. Ashley is also the Godmother to Maria's two boys, Parker and Matix. Funnily, when Allen and Ashley closed on their home, Ashley sent Maria a picture of the house and said "no ring yet." 30 minutes later, she had to text her back a picture of the ring Allen proposed to her with in their new home lol.

Leslie Espinal

Leslie is Allen's second oldest sister, and shares the role of being the middle child along with me. She has been a mother figure my entire life, always making sure I'm well-prepared and taken care of. She has spent countless hours selflessly helping others and putting them as a priority before herself. She has been my #1 supporter from day one and has motivated me to prove those who have doubted me wrong. Leslie and I were bound by the hip as children, always up to crazy antics, but we did it together. Leslie and I love "watching" movies together, from animated to horror, but watching was in quotations since she has fallen asleep during every movie, except for maybe 3.

Natalie Crespo

Bridesmaid

Nat and Ashley lived down the street from each other for years before they met. Their brother and cousin are best friends, and would often go to a friend's house after school; bringing along Nat and Ashley (they were our ride home). After the 1st few minutes, Ashley and Nat formed an alliance to survive the guy gang. We were best friends through high school, and continued our friendship throughout the years. I don't know how I would have gotten through my high school years without Nat. She was in the passenger in my first car accident as the driver on our way to school. And as I cried Nat got on the phone with my mom and got all my paperwork set for when police arrived. Nat and Ashley have a special bond as Ashley is the Godmother to her daughter, Nasiya.

Mariel Goldrick

Mariel is Allen's oldest sister and has been an inspiration to all her siblings from the very beginning. Mariel took on the role of guiding and teaching future nurses, ensuring they have the proper education to better serve the community. You always know where Mariel is since her laugh can be heard from outer space. Her laugh and smile are infectious, and she has a warmth to her that naturally attracts people to want to be around her. We have encountered many instances where people mistook us as the twins since we look so much alike, and have similar personalities. Mariel is a first time mother and has blessed our family with becoming an uncle/aunts/grandparents.

Nasiya Douglas

Junior Bridesmaid

Siya is Ashley's Goddaughter. When she was little, Siya and Ashley would go on Disney trips all the time. We would have sleepovers and do our nails, have fashion shows, and do all the fun things Godmoms and daughters do. Now that Siya is older, we still have sleepovers, do our nails, and shop. She's my little best friend and I am so happy that she will be standing by my side for this very important moment in my life.

Jace Cobb

Usher

Jace is Ashley's nephew, and a stellar ninja. Jace spent lots of time with his Tia, going to Universal, and eating sushi. Jace has a love for old school movies, and an interest in Japan, which got him into karate. He's got a tough ninja exterior, but is a sweetheart at his core. Ashley hasn't missed any of Jace's belt tests, and doesn't plan on it. Jace and Allen also share a bond over anime, and video games.

Aayla Taylor

Flower Girl

Aayla is the apple of Allen's eyes, he is the love of her life, they are each other's favorites. From day one, Aayla has stolen Allen's heart. Being Ashley's niece, she gets to see Allen all the time; if he’s around, she’s being held by him. Aayla has been working on learning to walk solely for this wedding. She is sweet, wild, and curious. Aayla the perfect person to be our flower girl.

Anakin Taylor

Ring Bearer

Anakin is Ashley's nephew. He is probably more excited for this wedding than anyone else. Since the engagement party, he has been calling the wedding "your wedding birthday party". We love his sweet personality, and are so excited to have him be part of our ring security crew. Look for him out on the dance floor!

Parker Eveson

Usher

Parker is Maria's oldest, Ashley's first Godson, and her first little love. He is extremely smart and sweet. Allen and I love him and are so happy he said yes to being part of our wedding party.

Matix Eveson

Usher

Matix is Maria's youngest son, and Ashley's youngest Godchild. He gave Allen all the approval he needs from a godson to date and marry Ashley. He is golden and perfectly wild. We know he is going to be the best ring security ever.

Evan Goldrick

Ring Bearer

Evan is Allen’s nephew, Mariel's child, and the first grandchild in both the Espinal & Goldrick family. He is a bundle of joy and loved by everyone who meets him. He may only be 3 months old, but he has a lot of responsibility since he is our ring bearer.
