Olivia (Livi) is Alex’s longest friendship - 29 years and counting! Alex and Livi became friends when Alex lived across the street from Livi’s grandma, and they’ve been best friends ever since. They’ve witnessed each other’s worst times, best times, and everything in between. Alex couldn’t even imagine having a wedding without Livi standing up there with her.
Benjamin Thurmond
Best Man
What more can be said of the best man that hasn’t been said about most others? However, Benjamin is no normal man. At this point, Benjamin is one of, if not the longest, friendship Brandon has had. One of the first people he met moving to Spartanburg and roomates several times over for years to come. From countless hours of Overwatch and Magic games being played together and adventures cross country to Colorado , Ben has been a constant but chaotic force that Brandon loves to have around.
Megan Moore
Maid of Honor
Megan is Alex’s North Carolina bestie. They met while working at the most god awful nursing home in existence. Alex didn’t initially think she’d like Megan (Alex is admittedly judgmental) but they’ve been friends going strong since 2020. Alex often refers to Megan as the best friend she’s made since she moved to NC in 2014.
Trey Speegle
Groomsman
This spot could normally be filled with a brother or sister but seeing as Brandon could not choose between the siblings he has, he decided Trey would be the best person for this role. He has known Trey since he was a chubby little kid running around in his underwear with an ice cream cone calling him “uncle Brandon”. He has come such a long way over the years and Brandon is excited to know that Trey will be standing up there with him on his biggest day.
Savannah Bukowski
Bridesmaid
Savannah is one of Alex’s many best friends, unfortunately one she probably sees the least but distance doesn’t put a damper on their friendship. Former elementary school rivals turned middle school and onward best friends, Savannah and Alex has no shame with anything they say or do together. Though they may be apart in distance, they text often and even watch movies long distance at the same time to text each other about. Brandon and Alex’s wedding marks the first reunion of these friends in 10 years!
Brad Muñoz
Groomsman
One of Brandon’s newest and fondest friends. The first from his friend group to reach out to him about coming around to play Magic and Overwatch. Brandon is extremely grateful for this man for introducing him and getting him in with another group of amazing people that he calls friends. Also one of the best drummers Brandon has personally met and someone he considers a great inspiration.
Brenna Cannon
Bridesmaid
Brenna was Alex’s boss when she worked at Sally Beauty in Spartanburg and Alex credits her as being the only good thing about her time living in Spartanburg. Brenna became a fast friend of Alex’s, someone she could trust immediately which is a testament to Brenna’s character since Alex is not only skeptical of most people but also generally hateful. Though they’ve been friends for a little over 2 years now, you wouldn’t know it because they already have zero filter with each other. Alex is forever grateful to have Brenna in her life and even more grateful that she’s stepping in to fill spot. Alex can’t wait to have Brenna up there with her on her wedding day.
Jacob Burnett
Groomsman
A cutie if there ever was one. Although Brandon hasn’t known him very long, him being close friends with Ben got Jacob to come around more and more and Brandon is grateful for that. Jacob is a genuine friend and loves Chappell Roan as much as Brandon does.
Layla
Ring Bearer
Sweet Baby Layla is adored by all those who meet her. She started as Brandon’s dog but she is definitely Alex’s baby. Brandon adopted Layla when she was just a puppy, but Alex had the pleasure of meeting her when she was 5 years old, and even started throwing her birthday celebrations which is something Alex doesn’t even do for her beloved cats. Layla will be accompanied by Keegan Osburn, the Matron of Honor’s brother.
