6:00 pm
We will be in the lobby to welcome our guests as they arrive. We have gotten an amazing rate, and also worked in a special bar rate with the hotel. They have an indoor salt water pool (that will hopefully be open). We encourage everyone to join us regardless of your decision to stay for the weekend (we would love to see our local family and friends just as much as our out of town guests)! We’ve chosen our hotel because it is dog friendly, so feel free to visit with the boys, or bring your fur babies too! Norman and Cooper are excited their parents are getting married.
10:30 am
Casual
Katie and Tyler are asking their bridal party and significant others of the bridal party, for attendance at their rehearsal. We will be rehearsing the big day at 10:30 in the morning with a lunch to follow. After that we are hoping everyone will lend a hand in helping with some last minute details, before we head to the zoo.
3:00 pm
Warm winter attire preferred.
The original plan was to go into the city of Chicago, and do some fun outdoors activities, but with Covid-19 we have chosen a different but equally fun plan. We have decided that we will be attending Holiday Magic as a group, and all are welcome to join. The photos will be fun, and they will have food and drinks available. For our out of town guests, we thought letting you know you can bring in your own food or drinks would be a good hint. Tyler and I have already planned to pack a back pack with snacks and drinks. Unlike normal circumstances, if you're choosing to attend you must prepay for parking if you're driving. BE SURE TO RESERVE TICKETS EARLY (Tyler and I have already purchased tickets for 3PM, but you can choose whatever time suits your fancy). THEY WILL SELL OUT. We think that this year will be more enjoyable than years past due to the staggering of entrance options, and the control of the crowd. https://www.czs.org/OnlineTicketing
11:00 am - 11:30 am
We kindly request formal attire and that no one wear white.
Our ceremony will begin promptly at 11 AM. We ask that all guests be in their seats no later than 10:45 AM. We will be having a device free ceremony, and request you stow your phones for the entire ceremony. We promise to share our photos, but are excited for our photographer to catch all the magic, without interruptions. We encourage everyone to come a little early to explore and get a feel of our beautiful venue. We will be hosting a virtual showing of our big day as well. We invite you to watch our wedding live-streamed at https://event.lovecastapp.com/event/DMYQBUBqw4kKpAKqm5kg ! You can subscribe to the event on the website and get notified when we go live. Be sure to have some bubbly prepared as we will forego the traditional dinner toast, and opt for a ceremony one.
11:30 am - 12:30 pm
After our ceremony we invite you to quench your thirst and enjoy light hors d’oeuvres, while we take our new family photos.
12:30 pm - 5:30 pm
Please stay and enjoy the afternoon with us, as a new family. There will be dinner, dancing, and cocktails along with much fun to be had following the ceremony.
6:30 pm
While we anticipate going out following our wedding, we know the dogs will need some Mom and Dad time, and to make a potty stop. We have some fun things planned at the hotel for guests, both staying and just coming to hang out with us after the wedding. We’ll regroup there, and decide what to do for the rest of the night.
9:00 am
Katie’s favorite meal is “not breakfast” breakfast foods. She’ll probably need to eat the next morning (and every morning for the rest of her life). We don’t know where we’re going but if you’d like to join in on our first married breakfast meet us in the lobby at 9:00 AM to decide where we’re going and venture out. We’re excited to chat about the weekend and rehash the events.
