We're Getting Married

Mike and Iliana connected on Tinder in the Spring of 2020. While the world was coming to a halt because of the pandemic, their relationship was just beginning to gain momentum. Mike and Iliana see the year 2020 in a different light than most. To them, not only was it one of their most joyful and adventurous years, but it was also the beginning of the rest of their lives together. Their very first conversation revolved around one of their favorite teenage shenanigans – stealing traffic cones. Mike and Iliana exchanged only a few witty messages back and forth on the app before Iliana requested Mike’s phone number – her exact words being “can I get those digits?”. Just from that short conversation, Mike and Iliana believed that they may have found their match when it came to humor, but unbeknownst to them at the time, it was more than that - it was actually “the match.” They were in constant communication with each other for the next two weeks leading up to their first date in Morristown on June 13th, 2020 – coincidentally the first day bars in New Jersey were permitted to conditionally re-open! Prior to meeting, the two had decided to maintain the “six feet rule” out of an abundance of caution, but once they saw each other for the first time in person, that went straight out the window and they both immediately went in for a hug. They then walked over to The Local Legends Bar and shared a drink or two before all the bars & restaurants had to close at 8PM. Mike and Iliana then spent the next few hours of their first date conversing and laughing on a park bench in the Morristown Green. Iliana’s mom still recalls the “ear-to-ear smile” Iliana had on her face when she returned home that night. From that day forward, it was incredibly clear that they had both found something special. As the years went by, Mike and Iliana's love blossomed and grew as they journeyed through life together, embracing countless adventures and creating unforgettable memories as a couple. On June 8th, 2024, Mike and Iliana found themselves back at The Local Legends Bar and reminisced about the memories of their first date. The couple then made their way to The Morristown Green where Mike got down on one knee and proposed to Iliana at the very spot where they had shared their first date – the most wonderful full-circle moment for the both of them. The two then celebrated the night away with close family and friends at a nearby restaurant. Mike and Iliana are beyond excited to begin their next chapter of life together as Husband and Wife and fall more in love with one another with each passing day.
