Airports

- Savannah International Airport (SAV) - 1 hour drive to Hilton Head Island and the Haig Point Ferry Embarkation Center. - Hilton Head Island Airport (HHH) - 15 minute drive to the Haig Point Ferry Embarkation Center. Note: Hilton Head Airport is a small, regional airport with fewer direct flight options, smaller planes, and more frequent delays and cancellations. We generally recommend flying into Savannah Airport for the variety of flight options and reliability. Departure Flights: Given the difficulties with airline travels this summer, we recommend giving yourself extra time to travel to South Carolina so that in the event of a cancellation, you will not miss the big day! Return Flights: For flights on Sunday, we do not recommend booking flights before 9am if you are staying on Daufuskie Island, given that the first ferry leaves Daufuskie Island for Hilton Head at 6:30am. Transportation from Airport to Ferry: Ubers/Lyfts are the easiest option for transportation from the airport to the Haig Point Ferry Embarkation (10 Haig Point Court).

Ferry to Haig Point

Haig Point on Daufuskie Island is only accessible via a 20 minute private ferry from the Haig Point Embarkation (10 Haig Point Ct, Hilton Head Island, SC 29928). - Going to Daufuskie Island - The Ferry runs from the Haig Point Embarkation to Daufuskie Island starting at 6:30am and runs every hour until 11:30pm (no fee for wedding guests). *Important Note: Please check the Schedule to see which ferry would be most optimal in order to arrive on time for our Welcome Party on Friday and Wedding on Saturday.* - Leaving Daufuskie Island - The Ferry leaves from Daufuskie Island to the Haig Point Embarkation on Hilton Head starting at 6:40am and runs every hour until 11:40pm (no fee for wedding guests). - Hotel on Hilton Head Island - If you prefer to stay on Hilton Head Island, there is a room block being held at the Beach House hotel. Click on the link below or call 800-433-0341 to make a reservation. *Please note, you will need to take a ferry to and from all wedding celebrations on Daufuskie Island. The Haig Point Ferry is complimentary for wedding guests.
