The dress code for our wedding is formal attire. Ladies should wear tea-length dresses, and gentlemen should wear a suit and tie.
For travel to Savannah Airport (SAV), we recommend taking flights that land by 3pm to account for a 1 hour Uber ride to the Haig Point Embarkation Center, a 20 minute Ferry ride to Daufuskie Island, and coordination of your house rental and golf cart transportation. For travel to Hilton Head Airport (HHH), given its proximity to the Haig Point Embarkation Center (15 min), we recommend taking flights that land by 4pm. Note: Hilton Head Airport is a small, regional airport with fewer direct flight options, smaller planes, and more frequent delays and cancellations. We generally recommend flying into Savannah Airport for the variety of flight options and reliability.
Groceries can be ordered in advance through Instacart (www.instacart.com). The zip code for delivery is 29928. Please indicate Haig Point Embarkation as the address (10 Haig Point Court, Hilton Head Island), with your name and Haig Point house address in the notes. If you are having groceries delivered please inform the Haig Point staff so they can place the items in the home if you have not yet arrived. The Front Desk can be reached at 843-686-2000. As for alcohol, Haig Point's Strachan Mansion by the ferry landing has a small, general store that sells a selection of liquor, wine, and beer (7-5pm). You can also pickup alcohol on the way from the airport at Rollers Wine & Spirits in Hilton Head (9 Palmetto Bay Rd) which has a great selection!
Haig Point's Strachan Mansion by the ferry landing has a small, general store that carries the necessities and common items along with beer, liquor, and wine. The store hours are from 7am-5pm. The Mansion also houses a Starbucks coffee shop open from 7am-5pm. For meals, there are a few, local restaurants on the island featured in the Activities tab and below. - Haig Point Clubhouse, The Grill Room (Breakfast 9am-12pm, Lunch 11-4pm) - The Calibogue Club - indoor and screened-in porch (5-9pm) - The Calibogue Club Beach Deck (Lunch 12-7pm, Dinner 5-9pm) - Strachan Mansion - Starbucks (7-5pm), complimentary morning muffins, newspapers Outside of Haig Point on Daufuskie Island - Old Daufuskie Crab Co. at Freeport Marina (11am-8pm)
