We're getting married!

Gwen and Ethan first met in sixth grade while attending Sutter Middle School in Folsom, CA. The two shared a love for basketball and playing in the school's orchestra while hanging out in the same friend groups. While their relationship was not yet romantic, they quickly created a bond that would last for many years to come.

Things began to change when Gwen and Ethan had Spanish class together in their junior year of high school. The two would often be seen making jokes in class and sat together nearly every day at lunch. As junior prom approached, Gwen tried unsuccessfully to set Ethan up on a date with other girls from their school. When they decided to go together as "friends" romantic feelings began to develop as they shared their first slow dance to Closing Time by Semisonic. The rest of junior year, the two denied all accusations of a relationship but there was no denying that things would never be the same between them. Shortly after junior year, Ethan asked Gwen to be his girlfriend "just for senior year" during the Summer of 2016 while waiting in line for a drive-in movie. Fast forward eight years, and the two have created a relationship filled with love and happiness.
