FAQs

The Wedding Website of Nicholas Sellnau and Brittnay Vanoosten
Thank you for your understanding and respecting our wishes. If you have any additional questions, please feel free to contact the bride or groom directly.
Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

We kindly ask that all RSVPs be turned in no later than April 27th. This allows us time to finalize our preparations with our various vendors. If your RSVP is not filled out at that time, we will make the assumption that you will not be in attendance. With that being said, there will not be at spot reserved or available at the ceremony and or the reception for you or your party.

Question

What happens if there is rain on the forecast?

Answer

In the event that there is rain on the forecast during the time of the ceremony, we will be moving the location of the wedding to Murphy's Event Center. Unfortunately at this time, Olathea Vineyard and Winery does not have anything to accommodate the weather, as it is an outdoor venue. In the event of rain, resulting in a location change, a text will be sent out by Zola an hour and a half prior to the start of the ceremony. If additional questions were to arise, please reach out to the personal attendants or ushers to clarify.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

As much as we love and adore your little ones, we request that our wedding day be reserved for adults. Our ceremony and reception will be an adult only event, with the exception of few children who will be specified in the invitation. We look forward to sharing this special day with you.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

For those who received an invitation, we welcome you to come early and enjoy a cocktail hour on us prior to the start of the ceremony. There will be various wine and champagne available for consumption during this time. The cocktail hour will begin at two thirty pm and end at the start of the ceremony. If you are unable to attend the cocktail hour, please arrive no later than twenty minutes prior to the start of the event. This ensures everyone will be seated in time and there will be no interruption or delay in the ceremony. In the event that you are unable to attend at all, please make the change on your RSVP as soon as possible. Seating for the ceremony is limited, and we would like to plan accordingly. Additionally, the bridal party may be taking photos upon your arrival to the event. If this is the case, we ask that you do not watch or interrupt. Although we are also excited to see you all, we want the first time you see us to be special.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We kindly ask that only those named on the invitation join us in celebrating our special day. As much as we would love to celebrate with everyone, we are only able to accommodate those addressed on the invitation. If you believe there may have been a mistake, please reach out to the bride or groom before April 27th.

Question

WHAT IF I HAVE TROUBLE FINDING THE VENUE?

Answer

When looking for the reception venue, please make sure you are entering the address provided or searching for Murphy Court Event Venue & Pub. This is not the same location as Murphy's Pub, which is also located in Dewitt. This event hall is brand new and may not come up on your navigation app when searching. Please double check you are traveling to the correct address. The reception venue is not located in the heart of the town like the pub. The venue is just a few miles over, still located close to town. Reminder, the venue shares a parking lot with the AmericInn hotel.

Question

Answer

We can all guests to dress semi-formal with spring colors preferred! We cannot wait to see you all looking your best!
