Kyle & I met on a random Friday night while I was visiting Cincinnati for spring break. One of his friends called me over and pointed to Kyle, and said "go talk to him, he's single and cute." So I went up to him and introduced myself, and we quickly exchanged numbers. I flew back home to California two days later not expecting much to come of it, but Kyle texted me a few days later and from then on, we talked every day for three months. I knew I liked him very quickly and by then I had decided to move to Cincinnati with my family. I came back to visit in July 2016 and Kyle made plans to see me three times in one week. He took me to an FC Cincinnati game the first night, hung out in Downtown Loveland another night, and the last "official" date that week was a brewery hop and dinner at Taft's Ale House. That was the night we decided to make things official and begin our relationship
Kyle told me he was planning a surprise day date so I didn't have any idea what we were going to do that day but I figured he'd take me to lunch at Taft's Ale House (my favorite restaurant in the city) and then we'd hang out downtown afterwards. He told me he had restaurant reservations at 12:15, so we headed off to the surprise. While we were driving, he told me we had to stop by Alms Park to check out some cardinals that he had seen on his run earlier that morning. I was excited because I love birds and I wanted to take a picture of them to send to my grandma. So we took a detour and he parked the car at the park. He started walking me over towards the pergola and I started questioning where the birds were. It was then that Kyle told me he didn't bring me there to show me the birds and that he wanted to ask me a question. He got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I excitedly said yes while being distracted by movement to my left. My cousin, Ashley, flew all the way out to Cincinnati from California to be there and take pictures of the proposal. I had no idea Kyle had been planning this with her for months. We can't thank everyone enough for being there to share our special day with us and we're even more excited to have both of our families together in one place to celebrate!
