Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We are kindly asking our guests to wear formal attire. Both the ceremony and reception will be outdoors, so please keep this in mind when planning your attire, specifically footwear. We recommend the following: For Men: dark colored suits and any color tie For Women: mid to long length dresses of any color, block heels suggested

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate any additional guests. If you are given a plus one, their name will be printed on your invitation.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

If your kids are invited, you will be addressed as a family on your invitation. If you are interested in hiring a babysitter in the area for the night, please reach out to Amanda for recommendations.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Yes! We highly recommend booking a room at one of our preferred hotels listed on our travel tab. These hotels are in the most convenient location for all of the weekend's events, and will provide the most seamless experience for our guests! If you go to book a room but the room block is full, please reach out to Amanda to get more rooms added to the room block.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Yes! Transportation will be provided to and from our preferred hotels before the ceremony and at the conclusion of the reception. Please refer to the travel tab for more information.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There is very little parking available at Oyster Bay Yacht Club, so we are highly encouraging our guests to use the transportation that will be provided to and from the preferred hotels. Uber/Lyft is also available, but very spotty later at night. For our local guests that are planning on driving, please plan to carpool or drive to our preferred hotels and hop on one of the shuttle buses!

Will food be served at the welcome event?

Answer

There will be appetizer-style foods available, but we recommend having dinner before meeting us at Cafe Karibo. Check out our "things to do" tab for lots of great restaurants nearby!
