How We Met

Love Finds A Way

They met back in grade school and disconnected when Savannah moved from Florida to Tennessee. After 4 years apart the girls bumped into each other again in a college parking lot and started to hang out. After several months of hanging out and several trips to Jacksonville to visit Savannah at college the girls fell in love and admitted their feelings on Christmas Eve. They have been together ever since and share their love and home with all the animals you could imagine.

The Proposals

The Tale of Two Proposals

The girls' love of St.Augustine brought them out of Jacksonville for one warm October day, 10.31.2018 to be exact. While there they enjoyed walking the iconic St.George Street and decided to head over to the fort. What Sydney did not know was that a couple of their friends were already hiding in the fort ready to capture a special moment. After walking all through the bottom rooms Savannah led Sydney up the stairs and to the top of the fort overlooking the river. Savannah pulled sydney over to a bench and gave Sydney her Halloween present, a beautiful scrapbook. Each page was filled with a special date but the best page was the last one. On the last page read a note. "There are so many more pages to fill, will you fill them as my wife?" and below this inscription was a ring tied to a ribbon. After reading the page Sydney looked up at Savannah and watched as she pulled the ring from the ribbon and got down on one knee. The magical question was asked and Sydney said yes while friends captured the moment. Again in St.Augustine, this time at christmas, the girls were again enjoying a day out of the house with friends. While there the girls wanted to take their traditional photo in from of the big christmas tree in the square. Sydney seemed nervous but kept on trucking to get to the plaza. While there, to her distress, she noticed that the bottom half of the christmas tree was not lit. Even though she was all ready with the ring and the friends were ready with the camera she knew this wasn't the right moment. So they moved one and even though the friends were confused Sydney had a plan. They went to the Lightener Museum and in front of the fountain with all the lights shining bright she dropped down on one knee while posing for a photo. Savannah was shocked and so excited and almost knocked Sydney over while happily saying yes!
