Danietta: I had a feeling my Charles wanted to ask me to marry him weeks prior to the day! It was in the way he held me just a little tighter, a bit longer, and in the way he stared into my eyes. It was as if he longed to say something but when asked, only "I Love You" came out. On February 22nd, 2025, Charles told me that he had a surprise for me, that it would be something that we'd never done before. He'd planned many date nights, but this time, it would be something new, and I was excited because experiencing new things together is one thing we promised each other. I asked him what the attire was since I was in the dark, and he said to wear something dressy-casual. It came as no surprise that we were perfectly coordinated when we pulled our outfits out (happens all the time)! Charles: The day I got the call that the ring was ready sent chills through my bones! Nervous jitters kicked in and for the next couple of days leading up to the day of the proposal I felt butterflies in my stomach- a feeling that lasted until the day of the engagement. I was filled with great anticipation and excitement all in one and once I was able to pop the question I felt great relief! I could literally feel the joy in the entire room once she said yes, and the best feeling was having my best friend and his wife (her cousin) there to witness the momentous occasion!
