Justin had asked me "Will you be my girl?", in which I innocently replied back "I am your girl", assuming he was talking about being friends... About a week went by before he asked me to go iceskating with him, which I was fond of, because I had tons of iceskating experience from many years prior, taking lessons. Thinking it would be a breeze we stepped on the ice, and all of those iceskating lessons did not pay off, because I was all over the place! He did not believe that I had lessons a day in my life! We skated for hours and the rest was history...
We have done many things in the past 12 years together. We moved in together, shared many homes, raised a beautiful daughter, adopted pets, graduated college, started a business, made a movie-- we loved, we cried, we cherished and now we are ready for the next chapter in our lives.
For my birthday we decided to go on a little trip to Las Vegas to have a well-needed vacation. We had lived in Los Angeles for almost a year and were working nonstop to jumpstart our careers. Little did I know that Justin had bigger plans in mind than just a regular birthday trip to Vegas. At night I got ready and noticed Justin rushing me more peculiarly than usual, "Hurry up" he said, "Were going to miss it!" I wasn't sure what he was talking about, since it was our first night there and I didn't know we had plans. We walked over to the Bellagio Fountains and then I thought to myself, "he must be talking about the water show". As the fountains turned on, "Singing in the Rain" played on the loud speaker and Justin grabbed my hand, pulled out the ring and asked me to marry him. He was so nervous, he forgot to get on one knee! I screamed, cried, said yes...... and then made him do it all over again on one knee because we had an entire group of spectators watching us instead of the fountains!
Justin, Alyse, Joslyn and can't forget our pups, Max & Lola!
