We love your kids - we really do. However, we do have a maximum capacity for our wedding venue and have decided to keep the wedding and reception an adults only event with the exception of the children in our wedding party. Invitations will be specific and will include the names of the children who are invited.
1. Bug Spray - YOU WILL NEED IT. Thank us later! 2. REEF SAFE sunscreen - it is required by the National Park that you use reef safe sunscreen. This is to protect the coral and wildlife. 3. Cash for taxis
The first major thing that first time visitors to St. John notice is that the left side of the road is actually the “right” side of the road! When driving, remember to KEEP LEFT at all times. The island roads are very steep and twisty/turny so please be cautious!
We recommend renting a car for those who want to explore the island while there! We suggest renting an SUV due to the large hills and some rough roads. There are plenty of car-rental services to choose from on St. John and St. Thomas. If decide to rent on St. Thomas, you will take the car ferry over to St. John instead of the passenger ferry - car ferry is $65.00 cash roundtrip, $50.00 one way. St. John car rentals - Courtesy Care Rental -- They have a parking lot close to downtown that you may park in for free https://courtesycarrental.com/ - L&L Jeep Rental -- They also have a parking lot right downtown that you can pay to park in https://www.bookajeep.com/ St. Thomas car rentals - Discount car rental https://discountcar.vi/ - Paradise car rental https://www.pdiseinc.com/ - Amalie car rental https://www.amaliecar.com/ Book several months in advance!!!!
If you are not renting a car, there are a lot of open air taxis on the island. Most are downtown and can be waved down. You may also call in advance and schedule one.
