FAQs

Question

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

To Florida? Sure. To the wedding? No. However, we will be looking into providing some childcare options, and other events throughout the weekend will be kid-friendly.

Question

Is there anything else going on other than the celebration party on Saturday?

Answer

For friends and family traveling from out of town, additional events will be made available Thursday through Sunday. More details on these events will be provided soon. You're also more than welcome to peruse our Things to Do section and make your own fun!

Question

Can I bring my dog?

Answer

To Florida? Sure. To the wedding? No. Rest assured that both of the hotels we've listed on this site are pet-friendly. Rental homes will vary depending on the owner's personal policy.

Question

I don't see any mention of a ceremony here... am I missing something?

Answer

Not really? 😬 We were wed in a private ceremony on 10/10/2020. But you didn't miss much! Honestly! Thanks to Covid, it was Zoomtastic. The reception's where the real fun is! So put that FOMO away and let's get ready to paaaaartay.

Question

An October wedding! Leaf-peeping season, crisp, nice.

Answer

Dude. This is Florida. October here is pretty much like July anywhere else in the country with a dash of hurricane season thrown in for good measure. Pack appropriately.

Question

Is there transportation to the wedding?

Answer

No need! For those staying at the Holiday Inn, you are within shouting distance of the venue. (Literally. If you're running late, you can come out on your balcony and shout down your drink order to the bar.) For folks opting for other accommodations, there's plenty of parking at the venue, or you can always Lyft.

Question

I found a cheaper hotel just ten miles away. Is it cool if I stay there?

Answer

You do you; just know that in these here parts, ten miles may look like a short distance on the map, but there's no fast way to get from point A to point B. So factor in that commute!

Question

Can you please further define the dress code?

Answer

Sure. It's like... jungle garden party meets tiki meets cocktail hour meets tropics meets Hawaiian shirts meets "feels like" temps of 90 meets fun meets sparkle. Does that help?

Question

I heard rumors that this was going to be a Disney wedding, and now I'm sorely disappointed. What gives?

Answer

Turns out that damn mouse is greeeeedy. But hey, if you want to stick around, we'll be happy to hit up Disney with you the following weekend!

Question

Where do I choose between the beef or fish?

Answer

We're doing 'Ohana-style dining, so no need to place your order in advance! I mean, you can try, but we have veto power.

Question

Will there be vegan options?

Answer

Absolutely! We shall attempt to have several plant-based dishes available.

Question

I already got y'all a gift last year when I assumed this shindig was cancelled in lieu of a video conference. Do I have to get you another?

Answer

Of course not! Don't be silly. Just show up, relax, and have some fun with us :)
