Ashley Cantrall

Maid of Honor

Ashley and I met through North Pines Church and became friends by attending the same small group for a few years. We've bonded over our love for Jesus, coffee, and the Enneagram, and stressed together over our first years of teaching. Ashley is my Maid of Honor because she's been a fiercely loyal friend, always honest and genuine, and makes sure that I'm taken care of!

Kyle Menigoz

Best Man

Kyle and I met in August 2012 when we were Resident Assistants together in Mae Smith Hall at Southern Illinois University, but our friendship really grew in the summer of 2013 when I got to be part of the process of Kyle being saved by Jesus. We grew closer through it, and from being in small group together to sharing a love of aviation and flying all over Southern Illinois together, we grew all the closer. Now, 1000 miles separate us, but we still stay close with many phone calls and Marco Polos and visits to each other’s cities as often as possible

Tayler Caldwell

Bridesmaid

Tayler and I started going to North Pines around the same time and got baptized in a snow storm together! The funniest part of our friendship is that it started with Tayler mistaking me for someone else. After that, we grew really close over the first few years of following Jesus together.

Matt Luper

Groomsman

Matthew and I knew each other for years before really getting to know each other; we both served on sound board at Vine Church. When we started attending the same small group, we really began to get to know each other. He and I have trusted each other to walk through a lot of big life events and it’s made our friendship feel like we’re brothers. Matt, his wife, Elizabeth, and my sister, Jessica have been so close that we’re even “Uncle David” and “Aunt Jess” to their children.

Jessica Erhart

Bridesmaid

D: Jessica and I are close in age, so we were close as we grew up together. From playing house, hide n’ seek, to Nintendo 64, we’ve almost always gotten along really well (Except for when I was the annoying little brother who tried to be friends with all her friends in high school) Later in life, she’s been my adventure buddy, the person who gets all my movie quotes, and, most importantly, a best friend. She is a woman of incredible character, compassion, and love. I can’t count the times she’s supported me, encouraged me with meaningful words, prayed for me, or just listened to me when I needed someone to talk to. My life wouldn’t be the same without her and I’m honored to have her as part of our wedding.

Daniel Erhart

Groomsman

I was pretty content being the youngest child for the first nine years of life, but I also was very excited to become a big brother to Daniel. Although we’re much farther apart in age than I am to Jess, I still got to have lots of great memories (and perhaps some bickering... haha) with him before moving away to college. It’s been fun to continue seeing him grow up from afar into a bright young man. I'm so proud of him and I'm glad for the times I get to spend with him now; I only wish it got to happen more often. I'm honored to have him standing beside me for this special day.

Sierra Dyer

Bridesmaid

Sierra and I have been friends since our junior year of high school. The best part of our friendship is that we started out as enemies, then became inseparable! Sierra and I are forever friends, and no matter how far we've moved away from each other and how long we go without talking, we always pick up where we left off.

Ryan Cooper

Groomsman

R: Even though Ryan and I grew up in different states, we're basically the same person. Ryan is my childhood hero, my closest confidant, and conspiracy theory partner. He's disapproved of every guy that I've ever dated, but David was the first guy that he not only approved of but advocated for. Before David and I even started dating, Ryan told me that he felt so much of God's presence while praying about our potential relationship. He even thought about contacting David before I even told him I liked him! I'm so glad that I get to share this day with my big brother!

Kayla Laney

Bridesmaid

Kayla has played a lot of roles in my life: she's been a friend, roommate, and small group leader. She's walked with me through different seasons of my life and has helped me mature as a Christian over the last few years. My life would not be the same without her!

Joe Schwenk

Groomsman

Joe and I have known each other since 2013. We lived in the same Apartment Complex that summer and had a group of mutual friends that spent time together doing things such as hiking and playing soccer. We really got to know each other well in the summer of 2016, however, when we both felt called to be a part of starting North Pines Church. We became roommates from the start of living in Kalamazoo and it’s been that way for the last 3 years. From Hot Fuzz quotes, to competing in Jeopardy question answering, to praying for and encouraging one another, living with Joe has been a great experience.

Dawn Wilson

Bridesmaid

Dawn and I have been roomies for 2 years and she was the first person I told about my crush on David. She's a good friend who held us accountable during our dating season. It wouldn't feel right without her by my side!

Alan Pease

Groomsman

Alan and I are childhood best friends. He moved to Hinckley in the fourth grade and we got along from the start. Riding bikes around, making goofy home videos in the backyard during the summers, and possibly a run-in with the cops together have formed the foundations of our friendship. We’ve been through a lot together, and, although moving away from Hinckley has made it harder to stay in touch, I always make it a point to catch up with him whenever I visit the area.
