Dress Code & FAQs

The Wedding Website of Therese Mellum and Zachary Jester
Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes! Vintage Garden Party. Though it is not mandatory, we'd prefer if you came dressed in lighter fabrics (canvas, linens) so you can stay cool. Capes, suspenders, flowy dresses, and anything vintage is ideal. Florals, patterns, and lots of colors are encouraged. Have fun with it!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Yes! If we invited your kids, they are welcome.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

There are multiple AirBnBs and VRBOs in the area as well as 2 hotels that we have blocked off for our guests. See the "Location + Travel" tab for more information on those.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes, please notify us if you are allergic to anything, and we will do our best to accommodate this.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Yes! See the "Location + Travel" tab.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If we included a plus one, then please bring them, if not, then feel free to reach out, and we will see if it would be feasible to add an additional guest.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes. Parking is available along the road on the way to the ceremony (Spirit Lake Access Road). If needed, parking may be available near the reception as well, though we would prefer it if you were able to walk that you do. Please contact us if you cannot complete a 1/2-mile walk from the ceremony to the reception, and we will be sure to make the experience as easy as possible for you.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Yes. We are registered at multiple places. See the "Registry" tab.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

The sooner the better, but we'd prefer if you RSVP at least one month prior (08/07/2024) to the event so we can accurately update our guest counts.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive at the ceremony 30 minutes before the ceremony begins (3:30 p.m.). This will allow time to get your seat and account for the possibility of wrong turns and parking mishaps. There will be a mingling hour from 3:00-4:00, which we'd love for you to attend if possible so that you have time to relax before the ceremony begins.
