Please wear nice attire, that being said, it is a mountain wedding with an outdoor reception. We recommend flat shoes and bring a jacket if it gets cold. A hat and sunscreen might also be good for the reception.
There are several options in or near Estes Park. -The YMCA of the Rockies offers cabins to stay in. But be aware that they fill up fast for the summer. https://ymcarockies.org/lodging/ -The Stanley hotel offers rooms and spooks. It is on the pricey end but worth the experience. It offers historic and ghost tours. https://www.stanleyhotel.com/?gclid=CjwKCAiA8ejuBRAaEiwAn-iJ3jukJPSivnQ3PRazDsJQHDFfl-lPrpY0Y4WbpUJsxd7tK2d0rBjs6RoC144QAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds -For something down the mountain, try the Candlewood suits in Longmont. https://www.ihg.com/candlewood/hotels/us/en/longmont/qwmcw/hoteldetail?cm_mmc=GoogleMaps-_-CW-_-US-_-QWMCW -Other options may be found via internet search.
Unfortunately, there are no wheelchair ramps to the chapel. There is a set of stairs leading to the chapel. Keep in mind the small size of the chapel. The reception will be held in a grassy backyard.
Chapel on the Rock goes by several names. If this doesnt come up in google maps, try searching Camp St. Malo or St. Catherine of Siena Chapel. Here is a physical address: 10758 CO-7, Allenspark, CO 80510. If coming in through Estes Park, it can sneak up on you, be on the look out for a historic landmark sign.
Estes park is sitting at an elevation of 7,500 feet! Elevation sickness is a real thing! Take it easy and adjust to the elevation. Oxygen can literally be bought in a can at gas stations. Also, drink lots of water. If it gets bad, please put your health before the wedding!
