Our story began on the first day of work in 2019, when we met as co-workers and quickly became great teammates and friends. Over time, our bond grew naturally through shared laughs, long shifts, and mutual respect. In 2022, just before Kyle was transferred to Alaska, he asked Frances a few important questions—and she said “¡Sí!” What followed was a spontaneous “date” that involved Frances running errands, a plan to catch a movie, and Kyle finally meeting Layla, Frances’ Jack Russell Terrier. Layla wasted no time claiming Kyle’s attention, insisting he play with her until he ended up sitting on the floor… and slowly falling asleep. As time passed, phone calls, texts, and video chats brought us even closer. Then, as only God can orchestrate, we found ourselves together again—this time in Alaska. It was there, between hikes and eating ice cream in -40° weather, that we truly got to know one another. We built a relationship rooted in friendship, faith, and joy, and we knew deep in our hearts that life would be even more beautiful spent side by side—with God at the center. Nuestra historia comenzó el primer día de trabajo en 2019, cuando nos conocimos como compañeros y rápidamente nos convertimos en un gran equipo y en buenos amigos. Con el tiempo, nuestro vínculo creció de forma natural entre risas compartidas, largas jornadas y mucho respeto mutuo. En 2022, justo antes de que Kyle fuera transferido a Alaska por trabajo, le hizo a Frances unas cuantas preguntas importantes… y ella respondió “¡Sí!”. Lo que siguió fue una cita improvisada que incluyó hacer diligencias, un plan para ir al cine y el momento en que Kyle conoció a Layla, la Jack Russell Terrier de Frances. Layla no perdió el tiempo en reclamar la atención de Kyle, obligándolo a jugar con ella hasta que él terminó sentado en el suelo… y poco a poco se quedó dormido. Con el paso del tiempo, las llamadas, mensajes y videollamadas nos fueron acercando aún más. Y como solo Dios puede hacer, nos reencontramos en Alaska. Fue allí, entre caminatas y comiendo helado a -40°, donde realmente comenzamos a conocernos a fondo. Construimos una relación basada en la amistad, la fe y la alegría, y supimos desde el corazón que la vida sería aún más hermosa si la compartíamos juntos—con Dios en el centro.
