THE STORY OF US
Believe it or not, college football and some old Australian guys brought us together in 2018. I had recently moved to Texas and jumped at the chance to go to the Iowa State v UT football game to feel a little piece of home. The Cyclones lost, so I went to the bar in Austin with a bunch of Iowa State fans to drink our sorrows away after the game. While waiting for my Uber home, a few older Australian guys started talking to me about how much their daughters seemed to love dating apps back home. They asked if I could show them what American dating apps looked like, so I opened my phone and allowed them to swipe once on Bumble.
We opened the app to Barrett's profile and they asked if I thought he was cute. I said yes immediately.. "Are you sure?" they asked, "He wears a lot of camouflage." I was sure, and we swiped right. It was a match! Now here we are, 5 years, 3 moves and so many memories later... making it official!
