This is a very low-key event. Come hang out, drink, eat and mingle. Melissa and Ben will be getting ready during the day pictures will be taken before the ceremony and then the ceremony will commence at 5pm in the Great Room in the Maine House at 30 Lake Rd Bryant Pond. After the ceremony the couple will take their pictures together while the dinner tables are prepared. They will come in after photos have their first dance then sit down for dinner. Dinner will be a potluck event so bring a dish to share for around 50 people. This is a BYOB event as well so bring the booze of your choosing. After dinner the happy couple will invite everyone to congregate in the Great Room for a full group photo. After the photo everyone is welcome to hangout, drink, mingle, dance or keep warm by the fire pits outside. This again is super low key so feel free to do as you would like the rest of the evening and weekend.
A dish to share for dinner and your drinks of choice. If you plan to stay the night or weekend here’s some items to consider: If your more comfortable with your own linens and pillows from home bring those. If it is warm enough you may bring any item you wish to have fun in the water with. Obviously an overnight bag, towel, toiletries etc.
Due to the Pandemic and the contract signed by the couple and the Photographer all precautions will need to be taken (masks, social distancing, etc.). If socially distancing cannot be met masks will need to be worn. The couple is 100% responsible for any potential outbreak that may happen so windows and doors will be open during the ceremony and evening. Please make use of the outdoor space to allow for socially distancing. The couple has asked a group photo to be taken at the end of the evening. The photographer will ask if everyone feels comfortable being in close proximity to each other without masks for this photo. If you do not feel comfortable interacting with people you may not know or have any health concerns please know the couple respects your decision to not attend the wedding. There will be a videographer on site and will be videoing the day for the couple to share later with everyone. Additionally, if you have experienced any symptoms please stay home.
The Maine House has about 15 parking spots. If the other houses are not in use that weekend we may use their driveways for parking. If they are in use there is a parking lot by the post office at the end of the road we will ask you to use. You may not park on the side of Lake Rd as it is an emergency water access.
Kids are of course welcome! If you wish to have a kid free weekend or evening you are also welcome to keep them home. It is 100% your call!
This is a casual event so casual attire is suitable.
No. Ben and Melissa decided not to register for gifts. Please do not feel obligated to get them anything. There will be a box for well wishes and cards if you wish to get them a card.
