2-mile self-guided nature walk with covered bridges, amazing waterfalls, a scenic natural pool, and mountain views. Katie definitely recommends this spot. It’s naturally beautiful and has gotten rave reviews from friends she’s brought along. We recommend booking your ticket in advance.
Driving the Kancamagus Highway
A very famous scenic highway in New Hampshire with stunning mountain views and plenty of pull-off spots to take it all in. Please note that it’s especially popular with bikers during Bike Week, so expect some traffic and lots of motorcycles on the road.

Our favorite spot! The best bar pizza, atmosphere and Guinness!
Black Cap Trail Head
A very popular 2.3-mile hike in the White Mountains, located just outside of North Conway.
Dianas Baths
An easy walk to a bunch of small waterfalls and pools, perfect for those looking for a short adventure.
Frontside Coffee Roasters
Great coffee shop right in downtown North Conway.
Cathedral Ledge
A mile-long auto road leads to the top of the 700-foot Cathedral Ledge, which overlooks North Conway and the White Mountains. We recommend driving to the top, as the hike is more of a climb.

Mt. Washington Auto Road
Pinkham Notch is another beautiful drive and will lead you to the base of Mount Washington. Here you can take a guided tour up the Auto Road to the top of the mountain for a breathtaking view of the Presidential range. You can drive yourself but we would recommend taking the van. Go on a clear day to enjoy the scenery.
Conway Scenic Railroad
Heritage rail excursions and scenic train rides through the Mt. Washington Valley and Crawford Notch, New Hampshire. Book your train ride in advance—this is a very popular attraction!
Schilling Beer Co.
Our favorite brewery sits right on the river in Littleton. It’s about an hour’s drive from North Conway, but the scenic route is worth it, and Littleton itself is full of charming shops.

A classic general store packed with candy, local goodies and a must-do when in North Conway!
Great Glen Trails Outdoor Center
For those who like to hike, walk or bike you will find Great Glen Trails Outdoor Center at the base of Mt Washington. Many of their walking trails are perfect for families as well as biking. Bike rentals and much more info is available at the center.

Jackson, NH
Jackson, NH, just 15 minutes from North Conway, is a quaint little village and a great stop on your way to Pinkham Notch and Mt. Washington. Drive through Jackson covered bridge for breakfast or lunch at Yesterday’s Restaurant in the center of town. Also, be sure to check out the Jackson Falls, where you can view cascading waterfalls! For the golfers, you can enjoy a round at Jacksons Wentworth Golf Course.
Saco River Brewing Taphaus
Great place to hang out and grab a beer and grab a bite to eat! They have a great rooftop area that overlooks downtown North Conway.
