Question

How do I get to the Venue?

Answer

Important: Be sure to use the following address for your GoogleMaps or other navigation tool. 180 Hidden Falls Trail, Ben Lomond, CA 95006 Take Hwy 9 to Ben Lomond. Turn onto Alba Road. Be careful to turn onto Alba Rd. and NOT to turn onto Hubbard Gulch (the entrance to both roads are right next to each other. Hubbard Gulch will not get you to the venue.) 1.3 miles up Alba Road, you will see a sign when you arrive that says “Enter next Left”. Take that next left. You will then see two signs, “Sequoia Retreat Center” and “Welcome”. Follow those signs to the left and continue down the past the Sequoia buildings until you arrive at the "Guest Hub". A Waterfall staff member will meet you there to check in you and provide you with a map of the venue.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

We kindly request that everyone dresses in semi-formal attire. Please avoid wearing denim, white, ivory, or anything similar. Please be aware that the venue is outdoors in a Redwood forest grove. While all major walkways are paved, the trails connecting each site are not. We recommend wearing wedges chunky heels or flats.

Question

Is there onsite parking?

Answer

If you're staying in a cabin, parking will be available. We strongly encourage carpooling due to the very limited parking on site. Because of this limitation, guests staying in a cabin will have one vehicle permitted on site.

Question

When can I check into my cabin?

Answer

The wedding party will be required to reserve two nights in the assigned cabins with a check-in time on Wednesday August 13th, 2025 at 3:00 PM. All other guests can check into their cabin starting at 12:00 PM on Thursday, August 14th. Check-out for all guests will be Friday the 15th at 10:00am.

Question

How do I book my assigned cabin?

Answer

Please check if you are assigned a cabin in “Cabin Assignments” and then book your assigned cabin using the link located under “Waterfall Lodge in Travel”.

Question

What time should I get to the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremonial area will open for guests to take their seats at 1:45 PM. Please be punctual, as late arrivals will not be allowed into the ceremony area after 2:10 PM. Ensure you arrive on time.

Question

Is there cell phone reception?

Answer

We found that there wasn't any reliable reception in some areas of the venue.

Question

Is there a lot of walking?

Answer

Yes, guests are welcome to explore the beautiful 80-acre redwood forest. There are trails connecting all locations within the venue. Additionally, guests will be walking from their cabins to the ceremony area and the reception area, so please bring comfortable shoes. (For alternative transportation within the venue, please see, "Is there transportation within the Venue?")

Question

Is there transportation within the Venue?

Answer

Yes, there is one SUV that will be used to transport guests during the scheduled events for those who cannot walk or are not comfortable walking far distances. Hours of operation for the shuttle are 12:00-10:00pm.

Question

What time does the reception end?

Answer

9:30 PM

Question

Will the events be indoor or outdoors?

Answer

The events will primarily be outdoors. The ceremony will take place in the redwood grove, followed by a cocktail hour on the outdoor (partially covered) patio. Dinner will be outdoors, and dancing will be inside the lodge. Weather varies in this part of California, with average temperatures around 85° during the day and 50° at night, so it’s recommended to bring layers.

Question

When do I need to RSVP by?

Answer

RSVP window has now closed. If you didn't RSVP by the deadline, you weren't counted in our numbers to our vendors and unfortunately are no longer allowed to attend. We will miss you dearly.

Question

Can I bring a guest?

Answer

Due to the limited space, we are only accommodating guests that are formally invited on your wedding invitation. Thank you for understanding.

Question

Can I bring my children?

Answer

We want to start by saying we absolutely LOVE your children. However, due to our venue's capacity, we have decided that no children will attend this event. We understand this may be difficult, and some of you may have to decline our invitation. We will miss you dearly and truly appreciate your understanding!

Question

Can I take pictures during the wedding ceremony?

Answer

We are having an unplugged ceremony with a social minute. Once the ceremony begins, we ask that all phones be put away and silenced so everyone can be fully present. However, there will be a social minute announced by the officiant during which guests can take pictures. Additionally, we will have a photographer capturing all the best moments, which we will gladly share with you all.

Question

Will there be alcohol?

Answer

We’re excited to treat our guests to an open bar throughout the celebration. Please note that outside drinks are not permitted at the venue.
