Kassandra and Matthew's journey began in fifth grade, when they first met at just 10 years old. As they navigated through middle and high school together, graduating from William J. “Pete” Knight High School in 2011, they unknowingly laid the groundwork for a beautiful future. During those years, they shared experiences in marching band and video production classes, but life took them in different directions after graduation. It wasn’t until 2021 that fate brought them back together, rekindling a friendship that would soon blossom into something much deeper. They had their first date on December 15, 2021, at Baracoa Lounge in Palmdale, CA, which marked the beginning of a memorable chapter. For nearly four hours, they caught up, lost in conversation, and only called it a night when the restaurant closed. It was on this night that the sparks of their relationship ignited, fueled by a shared love for the outdoors. Their adventurous spirits led them on a New Year’s trip to the mountains, where they found themselves snow camping amidst an unexpected snowstorm. Those following days were filled with hiking, stargazing, and deepening their connection in a way they had never anticipated. As their relationship flourished, Kassandra and Matthew discovered a mutual passion for electronic dance music, which became a cornerstone of their bond. They have since attended over ten music festivals and countless shows across seven states and two countries, creating memories that are as electrifying as the music itself. The culmination of their love story came on September 21, 2024, when Matthew proposed to Kassandra at Lost Lands Music Festival in Ohio, surrounded by friends and the vibrant energy of the festival. The couple has embarked on countless camping trips throughout California, with the coastal redwoods holding a special place in their hearts. Their journey to visit every national park in California highlighted the awe-inspiring beauty of these majestic trees, creating cherished memories that they will carry forever. It feels only fitting to celebrate their wedding in this magical setting, surrounded by loved ones, as they invite everyone to bask in the beauty of the Californian Redwoods alongside them on this special day.
